It is good news that Gordon is going to back down. It's suggested that he will offer the scheme to basic rate tax payers only. This is good news for most people but surely everyone, including higher rate tax payers, deserve some help towards their childcare costs? Educated, hard working parents shouldn't be punished. I often wonder if the government wants us all to live on benefits!0
