Are there any mums out there who live seperate from their children?

My ex made me go through a long and expensive court battle just to see my child again. She was given full custody and myself limited contact rights at the time. She was allocated most assets from the divorce, including 4bed house, car and and massive proportion of pension and savings etc.

When the divorce was finalised she then received all her share of assets in her name. But a few months later child was left abandoned, just like that! I greatfully fully took him back in and applied for full custody. When CAFCASS interviewed her, her excuse was she had no financial means to look after child (despite having more than £160k in the bank and a good job!). But the main reason was she wanted her resoponsibilty free, do wants she wants lifestyle back; looking after a child restricted that for her.

A recall a few months ago a Jane Moore documentary on Sky about mothers who leave their kids. Was interesting to see the reasons. Some for sacrifice some for selfish reasons. Just hope the kids turn out to be better people.
