I'm a stupid ebay seller!

I'm a stupid ebay seller. Was going through some of my stock this morning and found an item that I posted on Monday:confused: As I only had one of them. Suddenly realised i'd sent the buyer an empty envelope . So messaged buyer this morning with big apologies have now actually sent the item as it was a low value item (£2) have refunded them for the trouble

Just had a response from buyer apparently there empty envelope turned up today,

Must repeat 100 times.

I MUST PUT ITEM IN ENVELOPE
I MUST PUT ITEM IN ENVELOPE
I MUST PUT ITEM IN ENVELOPE
I MUST PUT ITEM IN ENVELOPE
I MUST PUT ITEM IN ENVELOPE
I MUST PUT ITEM IN ENVELOPE

I know how you feel- I've been in the position more than once of having 20 packets in front of me and suddenly realising that none of them have the right postage label on. :o
They've never gone out like that though :p (as far as I know )
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

Personally, I wouldn't go down this route if I wanted to get the item back. It will not go directly back to the sender, it will go via the black hole that is the Returns Centre in Belfast and is highly unlikely to ever be seen again.
  • I few months ago I bought an Underdog dvd for my nephew on ebay. The day it arrived there was another parcel, also a DVD, from the same seller. I contacted the seller saying he had sent 2 seperate packages to me & I had only won one DVD. He was really apologetic (!) and said if I posted it onto the correct buyer he would refund me & also send another DVD to make up for it!! I agreed (of course!) and 2 days later received RV & Garfield the Movie through the post, both of which I've seen & loved, but didn't own! So one VERY happy ebayer here due to an unfortunate mistake! lol

  • I also sell cloth nappies on a couple of forums as well as the children's outgrown clothes on ebay. I mislabelled two packages as I am stupid and was trying to rush. One woman thought she was getting a brand new Next outfit and received a very fancy nappy.

I realised what I had done when the person who was expecting the nappy emailed me, and immediately apologised to the ebay buyer and offered refund and return postage... she went mad. Apparently I was a hippy who was trying to make her feel like a terrible person for using disposable nappies, she thought cloth was disgusting and that I was the worst seller she had ever come across.

It was a mistake for goodness sake. :o

Ooh, which forums do you use? I have my daughters old cloth nappy set to sell on-any you can recommend seeing as ebay have deleted my listing twice as I'm selling dirty underwear:rolleyes:?
