Wow, what a day.
I was AF yesterday, so that's 3/27 please YM. Not AF today though. I know I said I would be AF, but I have a glass of chardonnay with me at the moment. Not vodka, so that's a small improvement at least. Cheers to my late friend , may you rest in peace.
The service at the crematorium was amazing. Standing room only, which I fully expected. The order of service we were all given was so personal, pink, with a big picture of her smiling and laughing on every page. She loved to sing and was very good and she had recorded a few songs. She was carried in, with her rendition of "Mustang Sally" playing. We listened to her singing "Guardian Angel" in the middle of the service, which she'd actually won an NME award for, just days after her death. I hope her spirit stayed around to find out about that award!
At the conclusion of the service, we all gave her a standing ovation for her last earthly performance........... then walked out to her singing "Feeling Good"........... it was all very personal to her, very special. I am so glad and priviledged I was there.
It was heart-breaking, moving, uplifting, words fail me. Her husband stayed composed, bless him. He really held it together. I can't imagine how he's feeling.
So that's my day in a nutshell. I feel dual feelings today. Sad at the loss of someone who loved life, would do anything for anyone and who relished every day and didn't deserve to be taken so soon (at 50) and happy because I'm here to live another day and that she would want us all to live life to the full, as she did, despite her failing health.
Hugs to all.

I know this is a giving up/cutting down place but clearly Molls should have a drink before the end of the month or she'll explode!
that's a joke btw - no drinking seriously encouraged from this bear @ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -
