Mp's claiming 93 million in expenses.

I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Just over £200000 for each MP including salary - still I suppose they have to pay for their [STRIKE]wife & kids[/STRIKE] errr assistants out of that.

Also need to add in best pensions in UK, best redundancy package (many will be getting it soon) and, for some, income from 2nd jobs & consultancies

If you think that's bad, they're paupers compared with those on the European MP gravy train.

Do we really need 650 MPs ?

Since when have expenses equated to 'perks'?!!

There has been a 6.1% increase in the past year, which I think will be another factor in a much needed shake-up.

I think that Philip Hollobone deserves a mention. He has no assistant, and only claimed £47,737, while representing Kettering. Shame more of them can't do the same.

I have said for years many are along for the ride/ perks. How many things have gone by unnoticed when times were better. They are laughing at us at the end of the day. Jackie Smiths husband cracks one off at our expense gets caught says sorry and thats it. How many others have done similar over the years? It's time to sort the gravy train out they are taking the p1ss big time.

On a positive note. Now we in the general public know about it, action might be taken.

Better than not knowing and the expense claims continuing in our ignorance.

I'm still angry about Gordon Brown's £5 billion raid on pension pots back in 1997.

Nothing was done about that either...
