Halifax Reward Current Account

Hello Everyone
I have recieved a bulleting from NHS discounts for staff.
Halifax are offering £5 per month for every £1000 deposited into the account
plus a free ipod nano for switching to Halifax.
They have told me that they would set up a non interest overdraft while the switching was taking place so all my bills will get paid with no hassle.
I would like any feedback with regards to switching banks, also has any one got any bad comments about Halifax before i switch?
All advice appreciated.
Many Thanks :rotfl:

Read the existing thread (10 pages of it)? And earlier ones.

But - it's a net £5 / month - provided you pay in at least £1k. It's not £5 ' for every £1k' each month. And I must have missed the ipod offering? Is that NHS being benevolent - as Halifax don't mention it?

As mikeyorks says its a net £5 regardless of how many £1000 you deposit.. From your own link the wording is:plus a fiver each month you pay in £10000

A bulleting? That sounds painful!!!You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -

Ive just opened one of these Halifax Reward Account. Trouble is Halifax seem to have lost my money.
Basically on Monday 9th, I applied online for this account. I was accepted and selected the option to fund my account later. I immediately setup a Faster Payment from my RBS account online. After logging back into my Halifax account I could see the £1000 transaction I just carried out with my RBS account.
But today Wed 11th there is now no record of the £1000 transaction, either the money coming in or going out.
I spoke with both Halifax & RBS and although RBS can confirm Halifax have received the cash, Halifax have no idea where the cash has gone and are saying I gave the wrong details to RBS. How can I have given the wrong details if I saw the money there on Monday. They did say it maybe in a holding account but they didn't give me much confidence.
Anyone any ideas? Obviously I will give them till Friday, but will be back at my local branch if I dont hear anything by then.
Think the key here is to open the account with the minimum amount £100 before whacking £1000 in first.0 -
