FREE 10 day Call Credit report and free credit score online!!!

Options
Hi Guys

Thought you would like to know there is a FREE Call Credit report AND credit score you can see instantly online. I have done this myself and i had no problems. Highly recommended.

I noticed that this is not widely advertised, not like Experian/Equifax so for those who like to see what info Call Credit holds about you, please click on the link below.

https://www.freecreditreportsinstantly.co.uk/freecreditreport/uk/fcri/lp/275-8535/

Just fill in your details in and click submit & continue. It is a secured webpage, so for those who are not sure, just see the https:// and verisign symbol. It is FREE BUT PLEASE do remember to cancel before 10 days are up after signing up otherwise you will get charged £16.99. So my advice is once you get the free report and free credit score then immediately cancel before 10 days are up! You can either email or call to cancel before 10 days are up.

Hope you will find this useful as it did for me.

Yeah I did it, used my cahoot webcard with a limit of £1 though just in case. You also have to give card details during the sign-up process for the credit report for "identification purposes", so I did the same again, created another cahoot webcard with £1 limit.

It was pretty pointless though as Call Credit seem to list almost none of my credit accounts, only the two with O2 and even those only starting from November last year (when in fact I've had them for years, in the case of one, since 2004!)

    Thanks anyway though.

Headup, i forgot to tell you that anyone who took advantage of the 10 day trial in the past, can have another free credit report and score just by using a different card!!
Unlike Experian who only offer one free credit report per person policy, this can be handy for anyone who wish to have a 2 or 3 updates on their callcredit reports with scores FOR FREE by using different cards - including VISA debit cards.

    Thanks for posting.

Perhaps the poor response is because credit reports, when ordered directly from Experian and Equifax, online or by post, are more valuable. This is the information most lenders search when you apply for credit cards or loans.(Personally, I wouldn't bother with CallCredit, but that's just my opinion of course.). For links, see page 1 of the *How to obtain credit reports* sticky. Experian sends explanatory notes which are a good read as well ;)

    You could also try
    https://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk
where you do not have to put in any payment details, but get one free report a year (from call credit).

I've done it for the past 3 years and had harldy any email from them.
    No connection.

My credit report from Call Credit is quite informative including a credit card from IKEA i have forgotten about (settled) but not on Experian/Equifax ...i would say 85% of what's on Experian/Equifax.

Thanks lisyloo for your post - interesting.

LOL...no far from it! I do think the product they have is quite good. Graphics and all that kind of stuff. I just signed up annualcreditreport.co.uk and got the report online instantly! The reason i keep coming back about callcredit because it is pretty new. No one seems to know much about them. Currently not many lenders are subscribing to callcredit services, however more and more lenders will provide data in the future. Nationwide and HSBC report my account and credit card conduct to callcredit.

The problem with CallCredit is that although they record lots of data (about 70% of my accounts are reported to them) hardly any companies use them for application searches.

The reason people are more concerned with Experian and Equifax is because the majority of companies search either or both of them so it is important that their records are complete and accurate.

I do think that in the future, once CallCredit have a good solid base of account data, that more and more companies will use them for application searches.

I usually check my CallCredit report every six months (the others every 2-3) and next time will use your suggested route! Always good to get a freebie!

    Regards
