What if we simply don't post new internet links on the sticky thread (as it doesn't get updated often anyway and it's too easy for eBay grabbers to set up an email alert for each new post).
I know we've tried posting new links on here AND on there - but I mean why don't we agree to post them only on here, with NOTHING at all updating the sticky (not even an alert of an out of date coupon which the OP should be clearing up anyway, arguably)?
I think if a sticky isn't used then MSE mods will just delete it in the end and ultimately we will have achieved the non-sticky combined thread the majority asked for?
As this chat thread is pretty long, does anyone fancy being the OP of a new chat thread with all the links in the first post? It would need updating so the OP would need to be a regular poster with a bit of time to do so. If someone starts a new one please link it here.
P.S. Does anyone else think it slightly odd that the OP of the 'sticky-spoon-feed-the-ebay-coupon-sellers-thread' doesn't contribute on this chat thread at all?? And that when he/she set it up they were a newbie...I noticed that at the time...
A couple of people did this and Browntoa deleted it off here and transfered it onto the sticky. Seems we are thwarted at every turn.
and your P.S. hmmmm food for thought:question:AKA: PC

I totally agree, we asked and voted for a joint thread, it was ignored so we should vote with our feet. Thanks COUPON-MAD for being brave enough to say it.:T“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0 -

Not quite sure how this works, but if it was a new thread maintained by someone who agreed with this idea, then presumably that wouldn't happen. Apologies for getting it wrong if this isn't the case“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0 -
I suggested a mixed thread all coupons, chat, bickering:rolleyes: , together then if R4pture wants to still maintain the sticky they can by finding them off here and making a 2nd copy on the sticky, I was shot down in flames though.AKA: PC

Been to Tesco today and all coupons posted this week have scanned without any problems.
Not even a comment that I could only use 10% of my bill in coupons and loads of bargain chicken, meat etc in the reduced for quick sale department, so a successful trip all round. Bill total £48, paid £38  and don't forget it is also double Clubcard points on petrol/diesel at the moment.0 -
The auction was deleted by Ebay apparently but the seller has put it back up again.
Link here
The auction lets people know about the fake coupons that are going round at the moment like the £5 Eukanuba and the £5 Huggies ones, very interesting auction.0 -

I'm more than happy to take on the job of a new combined (non-sticky) coupon/chat thread.
I just wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes though. Plus, I guess I don't post as regularly as most people here (but I tend to only post when I feel I've got something worth hearing).
But I do have the time to dedicate to keeping the first post updated, which I suppose is what we all want.
If a few people say yes to this then I'll go ahead and start a new thread and we'll see what happens with it.
