£75 cashback when you sign up to TalkTalk

What's the deal?
Until midnight Thursday 20 November, new customers with BT lines signing up to TalkTalk (who have BT landlines) via a special cashback site can get £75 cashback on the deal. If you take this into account you effectively get line rental, broadband, and free evening and weekend calls for £14 a month. That's only £3.50 more than BT landline alone.
TalkTalk is currently the second cheapest provider by itself, see Cheap Home Phones, with this cashback it is unbeatable.
How this cashback loophole works...
Cashback sites are specialist websites that list retailers and product providers. They get paid by the retailers if you click through them, but importantly they then give some or all of this cash to you, provided you've registered which is free. To find out more read the Best Cashback Sites guide.
The £75 Cashback is only available from two cashback sites, Quidco & Topcashback, as it has an exclusive deal on this. Other sites are currently paying a lot less.
How to get the cash
To get the deal simply go to the TalkTalk deal on either of the cashback sites and make sure you're logged in. If you don't have an account you'll need to get an one; this is free for both.
Cashback sites payouts aren't 100% guaranteed.
As cashback sites rely on the retailers paying them, you can never count cashback as a sure thing until it's in your bank account. Yet as this is a deliberately organised exclusive deal, it's very likely to work for 99% of people, and even if it doesn't this package is one of the cheapest anyway.
If you're a first time cashback site user, please do read the full Best Cashback Sites article for a full explanation of the pros and cons. Plus to see how the different sites payouts compare use the Cashback Sites Maximiser.
Is TalkTalk's customer service any good?
The customer service reputation of TalkTalk has improved since it launched the first incarnation of this deal a couple of years ago (it couldn't have got much worse) and it was swamped and left 100,000s unhappy.
Yet like almost every phone and broadband providers, there will be some who have a bad time, sadly it's just the nature of the industry. Our view is simple, if you're going to risk bad service, which you do everywhere, you may as well ensure you're getting the cheapest.

- Quidco. Pays £75. Link: TalkTalk via Quidco
(Quidco takes the first five pounds you earn each year as its admin charge. So if this is the only cashback you get, the total will be £70.)

The £29.99p connection charge appears to be included in MSE Archna £14 a month figure, but the offer is not available to everybody ,you need to check to see if your exchange has been unbundled to get the Free Broadband element of the deal, otherwise Talk Talk will charge £15 a month for it.

Also if your phone number originated with a cable company Talktalk cannot give you the "free" broadband.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0 -

Even if the exchange is unbundled its not always possible to get service due to capacity problems. Check your exchange out here http://www.talktalkmembers.com/content/view/109/149/
to see if their are problems.0 -
Well done to Martin for mentioning TalkTalk's previous service problems. A lot of people continue to have problems. I need reliable broadband so would not touch TalkTalk or Tiscali. If they were confident people would stay with them they would not need to use such long contract periods.0

does this quidco cashback also include the broadband talk UK weekend package?smile everyday...cos its free

Live everyday to the Full..cos there is no tomorrow:dance:0 -
The packages available on Talk Talk seem to allow for only Wireless connections. As both my computers are wired connections, would this be a problem?0

I would like to get Broadband for xmas, we do not have a line rental as yet, i was just going to go with bt & bt BB.
Will this offer suit me??
EDIT: I also do not have a cashback account yet, so would need to sign up with quidco etc

Ok, sorry if I sound a bit "green"...
My OH moved into his house 13 months ago and has never arranged to set up a home phone or internet connection (but there are telephone sockets in the house and the house is 8 years old, so the line will surely have been in use previously).
Anyhoo, I am looking at moving out of parents' house and in with him v soon and MUST have broadband there (lol), so - in short - what do I need to do?! Can I just set this up directly with Talk Talk? Or do I need to get someone to "activate" his phone line first?
Sorry peeps, and thanks in advance for your help! x0
