As part of my decluttering efforts I've found the box of bits I had to decorate my bra for the moonwalk this year. Does anyone have a need for some bits of pink sparkly net (two kinds!), various lengths/colours of satin ribbons, sequin, feather and card butterflies? If so, PM me your address and I'll put them in the post!!!
Greenbee I would love your sparkly bits for craft projects but I am going to resist as I havent started the projects, dont know what the projects are and therefore should not be hoarding more stuff. I am sure someone will want them and put them to good use (but if not I will give them a home - they wont take up much space!)

Toots - if no one else wants them this week, I'll put them to one side with your name on, and you can have them when you've made some space! Do you have a picture of the bowl the cat broke... just in case someone has something similar in their ebay/freecycle/get it out of the house pile?
I have to admit, I'm too [STRIKE]lazy [/STRIKE]busy to freecycle, let alone ebay or carboot (do this occasionally, if I can find someone gullible to come with me on a sunny weekend :rotfl: ) but have VAST amounts of cr*p in the garage that needs to be got rid of (and is mostly useful, I just have too much stuff), so if anyone wants to come and collect the lot and see how much cash they can generate they're welcome to it (apart from the dining table, which needs to go back to Norfolk somehow). There's even a kitchen sink in there...0 -
Hello. I resisted posting on the other thread
so am here, have done the front garden inc chopping chunks off bushes and trees
had to use the old electric mower, bearings gone on it but couldn't start the petrol one
so that means the back garden can wait, well it'll have to, until DP is in to start the thing or show me how to. He's on his way back from Worksop now after having a bad day so won't even mention it yet, not worth it.
Mudbath we need photos!!! Hope you're enjoying having Poppy (which I first ready as ploppy) at home, I think your happy smiley posts say it all
Right, well this week, big important conference on Wednesday and my exam in a weeks time, a back garden that looks like a jungle (well at least it's just the back now) and a house that looks like a bombs bashed it's way through!! ARGH! I need to get extremely organised this week.
MACAW - my previous ones were 'be packed before the kids finish school on a Friday' and 'do packed lunches and organise uniforms/bags the night before' has helped a lot and I would like to keep that up. To add to it I would like to add - empty the dishwasher as soon as possible after it's finished. Something I have done before but let slip. One day I might be more organised...........

I'm not worried about you lot... it's just some people on some of the other threads seem to take it as a personal affront if someone works for a company they don't like... and try to make you feel responsible for everything the company does from call centre agent to CEO!
However, as there are 9 videos on the link... I'll leave it up for an hour or so! Just bear in mind that its work...
Oooh you actually sound like you know what you are talking about lol.. I'd have blithered on for ages about irrelevant things.... I think it sounded fab.

Thanks Pigpen - I knew what the company line was on a lot of things, but had kind of hoped they'd stick to MY specialist area (which is what my conference presentation was about ), not ask about company policy or the industry (good thing I read my company website... occasionally).
I had HUGE problems with my petrol mower for quite some time. What I've found is that you need to press the bulb which gets the fuel from the tank to the engine about twice as many times as it tells you to (so minimum of 6). I tend to do three, try starting, then another three, and then repeat. Sometimes the mower and I sulk at opposite ends of the garden when I've flooded the engine...:o. Make sure you squeeze the handle together really hard when starting it, you can let it go a bit once it's going, but the connection needs to be good when its starting. Of course, if the plugs need cleaning, then none of this helps... and I try to avoid dealing with technical stuff...
Or you might just need to fill the petrol tank!0 -

Thanks Greenbee thats kind of you but i am sure some of the others that do cards or things will want them.
No I havent a photo of the dish - its a Royal Winton one - like a half size oblong sandwich plate was pale green with pink fuschias moulded at each end - if you have ever seen Royal winton bits you will know what I mean - its a bit hard to describe - I treated myself as it was pretty and my bathroom was looking so shiny (thanks to pigpens list and the thread!), it fitted the shelf width perfectly and it was underpriced! I will watch for something again.
I think your video was very professional - its always hard to watch yourself so dont be too critical! 'your' company has had a lot of flack!!! I had a friend who worked for the motoring organisation they bought and he was not impressed!!! Dont worry it means nothing to me who you work for - I am very grateful for the advice you gave me.:A
If I was nearer I would be delighted to do a car boot with you - its a long way from Scotland!!! but its good fun and you can make a few pounds too!!!

That's almost round the corner from me
some journey for him though
Yup, he went at 5am, an hour or so after he got in from work, his daft hobby and choice to go. I did mention that it was close to you, would have hitched a lift but there is a few of them car share (which is good because usually they take his car but someone else drives, saves my worry of him driving tired) but we won't dwell on his insanity!
greenbee, very interesting, I know what you mean about people and where they point fingers, we have a few members who choose not to publically announce who they are/what they do, noone on here minds of course, that's what I like about it, no judgement. My petrol mowers a bit different, it's been tampered with :rotfl: but yes, think I flooded it and now it's ARGH in the garden, with the other one, ARGH just remembered I haven't put them in the shed, now it's darkbother, I best go do it in a mo.
No judgement is nice, BUT if any of you were at the caravan site I was at the weekend and when your little boy peed on a towel (he wasn't even 2 years old) you dried him with it inc the piddly bit on his face then dried your even younger little girl with it, then passed it to your husband, however much I applaud the hubby bit :T(because he was a gobsh*te who kept yelling at the kids) you made me feel sick when it came to the kids! Disgusting!
Ok, pack ups, find uniforms, kick DS2 for not finishing his homework, pack their bags for tomorrow, find me some clothes for tomorrow, empty and refill washer then tea time (for me and DP) ...think that's all....oh and put the mowers away
