British Airways has one of its periodic sales on. There are good prices especially to the USA (provided you can get them) though not quite as rock bottom as we've seen in the past. The prices start at £249 for New York.

Is it really a sale or is it availability of non changeable fares?
At non sale times, fares at periods that are over 3 months away, the lowest fare is a changeable fare for a fee of £50. At sale times they just seem to remove the flexibility and lower the price.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Join the executive club and you get fares to North America as low as £230 (using their birthday discount)."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Definitely go through the Executive club (see above!) and then if you can be flexible with your dates - I got a huge choice of dates and prices with over £100 difference! So I now have an even cheaper option than the ones I had previously decided on going through trawling all the different websites over the past few days - so thanks :j“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

The Independent newspaper and American Airlines are having a 2for1 sale to N.America at present; similar prices per ticket BUT you have to buy 2 and stay away for a saturday night. I've just booked half term week.
0845 6060461 is the number (No special codes, you don't need to buy the paper or collect coupons - according to the seating chart, the flight I booked 36 hours ago is now virtually full)0 -

Do I need to collect vouchers over a period of time, or can I go buy it today and get the offer?! Hope I'm not too late!:happyhear0 -
The Independent offer is on between Jan - April (not 1~11th April?) and May - June.
The destinations are:
New York
Boston
Chicago
Los Angeles
Miami
Denver
Phoenix
San Francisco
Dallas
Raleigh/Durham
Orlando
Tampa
not suitable for me, as we wanted end of June dates to Atlanta
Theres no vouchers to buy, you need to call 0845 606 0461 and quote 'independent offer'.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Are they forcing you to pay an offline booking fee with this Independent offer?"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Can you give an indication(examples) of how much tickets are please? AA are offering 'normal' tickets to most destinations in the USA for under £300(including tax) and much less to the East coast.
I am perhaps being cynical but I have never seen a 2 for 1 offer for airline tickets that was worth anything and not simply a marketing exercise. I hope my cynicism is misplaced on this offer.
AA have a guarantee that if you can buy a ticket cheaper(on the same day) than their website they will refund the difference and you get a voucher. I wonder if it applies to this Independent offer?0 -
Be careful with these offers as some of them are not direct, they are via New York, Dallas or Chicago. You will need long connection times for immigration and the hassle isn't really worth the cost saving, I've experienced this. It is always better to fly direct to an airport closest to your destination. Leaving the US doesn't matter connections are OK.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
