  • I'll be interested to see what people do with the No 7 Autumn Collection eyeshadow, since they're such strong colours I suspect I would end up looking like traffic lights. :rotfl:

Got the Time Delay Radiance Booster today with my til spit. Put some on about an hour ago and have to say it sinks in really well and has left my skin feeling very smooth with just the one application. I may buy some more. :D It retails at £6.99 so only £1.99 with the tilspit.

assuming you got the till spit and pinky then?

    I surrender!

YES another 2 till splits... they keep throwing them at me!!!
Not that i am complaining because a lot of the TD stuff in my local is still in the old packaging, and it has only been this last week that they have been getting the new packaging in and i did notice tonight along with a load of roc products they had a trolly full of the old TD so, i will be up there again in the morning armed with my vouchers.. lol
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
The world is full of people throwing stones at us. Its what you do with them that counts. Build a wall or build a bridge.
  • If anybody really cant get hold of a mag and would like the coupons to try a glitch then Im happy to pick some up for fellow bootsers, just pm me and Ill pop in the post. Im not getting loads for any one person and would rather help people who havent already benefitted.

Also will try to get another couple of the max factor GWPs 2mrw and if anyone really want one and cant get then Id be happy to do a swap.

She comes back and says she's so sorry but the supervisor is sick of these Mitchum vouchers and even resorted to phoning the company (Mitchum!) the day before as people were ending up with small totals and bringing in photocopied vouchers.
She had been told to put mine through all at once but stressed that the supervisor had been told that Mitchum were going to 'do something' about it.

So it would seem as though what we feared would happen is certainly starting to. I will be a little anxious if I try to use these again - shame as it is a great way to qualify for the til spits. It would have been hidden too by my other basket items (cotton wool is 2 for £2, wipes are £1, LOL) but as soon as she saw my vouchers she looked like she had been stung. Really hope this glitch continues so everyone gets a chance to get some til spits.

Just read some later replies whilst previewing and have to say that I can also see your point of view Palice. Just want everyone to get a decent chance at these deals. Maybe I'm a touch naive. LOL

Yeah I see what you're saying, it's really rubbish when that happens. but in my experience, SAs say lots of things to put the customer off, try and scare them when it's just because they're moody at having to put barcodes in/people getting 'too good' a deal etc. Like when the UG glitch was on, I had to fight for ages to get the ACM and tillspit scanned (and let's not forget, I was told by boots CS that not only can you use more than 1 voucher per transaction, but that 'boots tills are set up to get you the best deal possible') and after both vouchers scanned fine, the SA said she was going to 'talk to HO about this as they've obviously made a mistake' and did that stop the glitch? Did it hell. Did it stop future haircare glitches? Of course not. I mean, I'm going to be the first to put my hands up if boots block the barcode (didn't actually know they could do that) of the mitchum voucher; I just don't really think they will. Plus much fewer will be used once the £1 off promotion finishes.
By all means Palice get a bargain, but what I was actually pointing out that imho it is better to combine a glitch with shop you need, as opposed to taking 6 items to the till and paying 6p - you point out that it is legitimate - except for the 'not to be used in conjunction with any other offer' rule - this is what I was trying to highlight. Like I said, occasional users of this thread may see a post and not know they are actually breaking T&Cs which could lead to them having their boots card suspended....yes, it probably won't happen but that doesn't mean it can't. Neither does it mean that just because the offer is working atm, that it might be taken off because of people abusing it. I'm all for a bargain, and I'm all for getting a good glitch now and again..but I'm also not the type of person to abuse a glitch for the sake of abusing a glitch. I thought this should be pointed out to new and occasional bootsers.

Also as highlighted in Jellybaby's post, people abusing glitches (mitchum in this case) CAN ruin it for everyone - by boots refusing to accept these vouchers in the future. As you point out, its everyone's decision on what they choose to do, and I'm all for people making their own choices, I just believe they should be informed choices (regarding new bootsers, or occasional ones).
I know what you meant, but there aren't always things you need. I know everyone'd be 'safe' if they stocked up on things they 'need' everytime they'd use a glitch, but that's exactly what mr B wants, that's why there are so many glitches. Anyway, I think we understand what each other is trying to say.

It's all very well saying it's not legitimate to contravene the 'not to be used in conjunction' rule, but if you feel this way, then surely every glitch you do is wrong. It doesn't make it any less right to do it more or less often. So by doing even one glitch, you accept that you don't follow this rule. That's fine; that's what we all do. As for 'occasional users', they can read the T&Cs on the voucher, they most likely ignore tham as much as we do! But what I'm saying is they are taking exactly the same 'risk' as everyone; that is to say, not a very big one. The worst case scenario for most is getting refused at the till. Particularly with a glitch like this, you are only using one voucher so the risk is even lower.

People post on here when they have run-ins with SAs, and there would certainly be people talking about it for all the occasional users to see, if using a particular glitch had got someone in trouble (the baby expert for example, or being 'caught' in the PC with no children). Sorry for going on, I just don't think people need 'informing': the people who would need telling, e.g. that using 10 of the same vouchers on five products in one transaction aren't the people who are going to listen or care if they could 'spoil' it for everyone. In the same way, people who don't want to 'spoil' the glitch would never think of putting so many through at once. Let's just enjoy the glitch without worrying people if they're going to get in trouble for using it 'too much'... whatever that is.

I dont think anyone can say there is nothing else in boots that they need or want yet they must have ten of whatever is free or next to nothing?? Just my opinion, I'm all for bargains but do think some people take it too far, and too often.
scotsmum, I also appreciate your point, and I agree fully that you shouldn't do a glitch just for the sake of it (I didn't get a single elle giftset even when there were loads, as I didn't want and wouldn't use it at all) but with something like shampoo, especially when you get to pick whatever other product you want, it'll all get used.
I can honestly say that toiletries wise, after today there is literally nothing that I need. That's to say, there's nothing I use that is worth paying full price for. If I run out of something before it's been on an offer where I can stock up, I buy some with points because that's money saving. Of course if something we all use like shampoo is 1p people are going to need/want it!

Oh god, I pressed preview, I am so sorry for the length of this post! :o:o:o
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)

Hello children, I was wondering if anyone could help me find an eyeshadow (or any kind of eye colour; cream, pigment etc but not liner) to match No7 Stay Perfect in the colour below (and here). For those who haven't seen it, it's much more vibrant and lighter than the pic. Was looking at the No7 eyeshadows to use with the pinky but they don't have anything like it.

Just because I was looking at the superdrug website (sorry, sorry! Just out of curiosity!) and they've used a very similar thing here:

    cat-beauty.jpg

which looks fab. I don't have many bright eyeshadows but I tried recreating it by mixing a bunch together, then put the eyeliner on the top and below, but it doesn't look as nice really:

    9rr24w.jpg

It does look quite similar in the photo (I also tried squinting like the model did :p), but you can see how the eyeshadow doesn't blend with the liner very well (and in the superdrug pic they only used liner underneath) and it's more apparent in real life. MAC probably do one in the same colour but I was looking for something I could get in Boots, of course ;)

Has anyone seen anything like the shade in the s****d*** pic? Buffy, queen of makeup, you must have/have seen something like this right? :D

Palice....I think this looks amazing! What did you use exactly? I might have to give it a bash as I think it looks soooo good! Love it! :D
