    HI everyone,

Bit of a booots newbie but I've moved and have 2 stores nearby that I can get to. Can someone please explain to me, what are till spits (the same as tesco?), pinkies, gwp's and mags and where the points vouchers come from. I've just got one advantage card, can you do all of this with just one card? I've not been into Boots in an age - in fact my card stopped working and I eventually got around to calling them last week after a few years and I've 1800 points. Nice!!

Sorry to ask, I tried to start reading but logged on and another 4 pages had been added and I've 2 lo so no time to trawl through.

    Thank you.
  • Hi all,

Quick post as just back last night from my trip to Cambridge. Lovely there, so want to go back asap.

Did go into to the City Centre Boots to get batteries and also introduced mum and auntie to the world of Boots. Auntie stocked up on Lynx and TS for table gifts at her xmas dinner and was thrilled and kept looking at her receipt when we got back trying to get her head round the saving she made. Mum hadnt quite caught on but was still pleased with her two till spits as she can treat herself from the under £5 TD and get something from No.7 too reduced. I was a very good girl and didnt buy a thing but managed to pick up a mag with a Model Me voucher in it - my first - as they seem thin on the ground here. Im off to Boots soon to collect Pixie Fotos of the twins and use the PC vouchers kindly given to me to offset the cost. Will report back later as I should be getting another spit and pinkie as you have christened them, lol.

    Ta ta for now.

    xx

Darn, I only had one of these and I gave it to my sister when she visited from LA!!
Bf likes my eyes done with blue, so am thinking of getting that blue liner too. I have dark blue eyes, though... will it look weird?

Have you thought about trying the new green one in the pot (Autumn Range) I am blue eyed and sometimes wear green eyeliner - i really like it.

Yes the tillspits are like tescos, pinkies are extra voucher given when you spend over £5 with the tillspit. (pink in colour)
gwp is gift eith purchase, mags are free with advantage card and can be found usually near tills Health &Beauty is it's name.
Extra points can be found in the back of the mag and at the advantage card machine(ACM) If you have children under 2 you can join the PC (parenting Club) , you can also join the HC(health Club) and if you are over 60, the other club (forgot it's name), you get extra points vouchers with these mailings and save money on purchases. You don't need more than 1 card, but some people have partners etc with AC to help get different offers from the ACM HTH
If you’re British in the living room, what are you in the bathroom? European!
  • Well I done my first grabbits shop today and must thank you avid ladies out there. I was sure I would mess it up but got -
    2 x cadburys buttons big bags - usually 79peach but 2 for 75p ?!
    TS Coditioner
    Ts Shampoo - paid £1.01
TD faicial exfoliant - should be £4.49 but used £5 voucher, and 200 points token.
Also bought bottle of diet coke 0.99
    and coke vitamins 0.75.
Paid a whopping £3.54 for all and got 220 points! Was well chuffed saved £15.95 and got another £5 skin voucher and a Ruby and Millie one. Also going back tomorrow as they had loads of boots mags.

    Thank you ladies x

This must be because cadburys chocolate bars are on 75p for 2. Bags of choc buttons must be counted as small bars instead of falling into same category as the 200g dairy milks which are advertised as 2 4 £2 in my store. Must admit I have started buying choc bars in pairs since I noticed I'd been paying 56p for creme egg twisters but could have 2 for 75p. DS goes nuts whenever he sees the wrappers so I gave him the spare one to play with. It was a bag of squelch within minutes. He doesn't eat it just sucks the wrapper. I had to get it off him incase it burst. There would have a serious mess....

Could anyone recommend a very scrubby body scrub please? The only good ones I've got have decidedly feminine scents, and bf wants one. (I've trained him to let me get that sort of thing, as he doesn't understand Bootsing, but thinks I get some great bargains!)
