Default What's your favourite biscuit? Poll results/discussion

Poll between 08-15 July 2008:

What's your favourite biscuit?

With gloomy weather and inflation rising, for a bit of fun we thought we’d poll something crunchy, which doesn't involve credit. Following the hotly contested top crisp flavour vote a few months ago, now the question is what’s your favourite biscuit?

Sorry if we’ve missed your top tea accompaniment, but please stick to the list below…

A. Bourbon - 6% (694 votes)
B. Choc Chip Cookie - 6% (659 votes)
C. Coconut Ring - 1% (72 votes)
D. Crunch Cream - 3% (299 votes)
E. Custard Cream - 7% (811 votes)
F. Digestive - 5% (504 votes)
G. Chocolate Digestive - 15% (1645 votes)
H. Fig Roll - 4% (435 votes)
I. Garibaldi - 2% (216 votes)
J. Ginger Biscuit - 5% (598 votes)
K. Hobnob (inc. choc) - 14% (1540 votes)
L. Hit Biscuit - 0% (14 votes)
M. Jaffa Cake - 8% (911 votes)
N. Jammie Dodger - 3% (346 votes)
O. Malted Milk - 3% (329 votes)
P. Nice Biscuit - 1% (127 votes)
Q. Oreo - 2% (215 votes)
R. Party Ring - 1% (146 votes)
S. Pink Wafer - 1% (92 votes)
T. Rich Tea - 2% (272 votes)
U. Shortcake - 4% (386 votes)
V. Teacake - 1% (162 votes)
W. Viennese Whirl - 4% (417 votes)

This vote has now ended, but you can still click 'post reply' to discuss below.

Gaaahhhh!! A Jaffa Cake isn't a biscuit, they had a court case to prove it so it doesn't pay VAT!!

We were well aware of the controversy our decision (after much to-ing and fro-ing, I might add) to include the Jaffa Cake would court. However, it must remain in the poll since it's favoured by the man whose name rhymes with Partin Moois...

I've had to vote HobNob as it would be wrong to vote for a cake as my fave biscuit. For those interested in all things biscuity may I recommend Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down?

I voted for HobNobs too although, since giving up wheat, I can no longer enjoy them. In fact, my all time favourite is probably Abbey Crunch but I'm not sure you can still get them.

Amazingly, hobnobs are in the lead at the moment. I wonder how many people voting are voting for Twinks hobnobs? And are they our fave biscuit because they are so yummy or so easy or so quick or so MSE?

Oh and has the man himself (who rhymes with Partin Moois) ever tried a Twinks hobnob?

What's a hit biscuit?

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Mmmm. I used to be partial to the McVitie's dark chocolate coated gingernuts - until they stopped making them

I also LOVE Anzac biscuits which are an absolute doddle to make at home, and I've normally got all the ingredients, and really cheap to buy from the supermarket too (and 4% of their sales goes to the British Legion to support & protect the interests, welfare and memory of British serving and ex-Service people and their dependants).

They make fantastic dunking biscuits.... mmm might pick some up tomorrow

Oreos are vile and should not even be included in a list of biscuits. I've never tasted anything so artificial. Yuk yuk yuk!!!!!!

Haven't had a chocolate Hobnob for years. Now seeing them on the list has awakened a hidden desire for one! Must resist temptation to go out and impulse buy - not very MSE.
