Talk Talk stop my free mobile calls

Options
Just a warning, as my daughter is at uni I thought it a good idea to use the Talk Talk mobile as we are on Talk Talk landline, which means she could ring us when she wanted free. Huhhhh!!! They now say we have broken rule 9.5 of t&c. Which means she has been reverted to 15p/min. The ad says ring any Talk Talk landline for as long as you like, but re-ring before 3 hours is up.

There has been no warning, we have only been on Talk Talk mobile for one month, now the service has been removed for us.

9.5 rule does not state a limit on free calls, it is what THEY consider to be resonable amount of use..what the flippen heck is that? We pay £10 per month to use the mobile so it aint exactly free.

So basically what they are saying is, we decide what is fair, you pay £10, but if you go over the £10 worth of calls we will cut you off. Some fair service.

Guess where I am telling Talk Talk to stick their mobile service!! I will also be cancelling their landline too!!

  • It says on their site " When we say you get Free Calls we mean it" Very misleading. They should make it more clearer.
  • I'm with talktalk and so are my parents - if you want a whole group of MoneySavers to group together and give TalkTalk a hard time then I'm sure that could be arranged.

I've had several bad experiences with Talktalk - the lastest being that they didn't give me the reward I was promised for recommending a friend who is now on talktalk. In fact they accused me of lying when I said that I emailed a voucher because apparently that isn't possible. I asked her to go to talktalk.co.uk and click refer a friend and see what came up but she retorted by saying she didn't have internet access. What rubbish. The only reason I'm still with them is that my line is on the 2nd month of the 3 months free Talk3 and my parents have the free calls to USA in evenings and weekends which I make sure they use. it ends at the end of this year so we'll be switching very soon me thinks.

I think you need to do the following:

1- Write a letter to Advertising Standard pointing their advert and tcopy of their policy and let them know they are in breach.
    2- Call OFCOm and complain
3- write to the newpaper consumer colums like th one on thisismoney.co.uk or the guardian etc.

i am sure you will get a good response.
