A doctor told me that the best thing for really dry skin on the arms (and so I suppose the legs) is Crisco. That's basically the same thing as Trex, it's vegetable oil shortening used in baking. I tried that for awhile and he was absolutely right, it was cheap and worked better than expensive bath oils I had used. But I was always hiding it away lest some date notice it sitting on the bathroom counter and wonder what in the world I did with that in the bathroom, lol. I eventually stopped using it. But it does work well and is cheap, too. If I ever get really dry skin again that nothing else helps, I'll go back to it.
I've tried loads of (expensive) heel treatments for cracked dry skin on my feet but coconut oil is the only stuff that works (the solid stuff that comes in a little plastic pot for £1).. I'm sure this has been said before on here? Unfortunately, Boots doesn't sell it, but you can get it in most chemists. It's wierd though, cos it doesn't smell of anything.0 -
