    The deal on the website is for
    567/7287 X BOX Crystal
    567/5258 Rainbow 6 (or choice of other 3 games)

    The free stuff( that only appears on till checkpoint) is
    882/4288 3rd party xbox controller
    882/4367 Tri Format Wheel

    When you goto the tills, the operator enters code for xbox, once entered they given choice of bundles and free items, which they are only meant to choose one from...but it does not flag any errors if they choose them all.
    I just mentioned that I had seen the offer for free wheel and controller on the argos website for the free items. Till operator was dubious so called her manager who on seeing the 882 code items on receipt just said yeah they are free items, let it go through.

    If I call into Argos tomorrow and put in all these codes (including the numbers for the free items) into the QuickPay machine....will this work?

    In addition, I've checked my current account online and they have "resuested" the payment.

    No, the free items only appear on the human operated till machines. I think they have altered the 882 codes to not be allowed to be entered since the last fiasco where folk were buying the freebies for free without buying the main goods that went with it.

    Cheers to the Op, just go back from Harrow store. bought two boxes and after the manager fiddling at the till for 4/5 minutes ended up with the two xboxes three steering wheels with pedals, Driver 3, Rainbow Six -3 and three extra controllers.

    Well, I went into Argos this morning - armed with the printout of this thread....and I got the following for £99.00

    Qty 1 - Crystal Xbox
    Qty 1 - Rainbow 6 game (wanted Halo 2 but couldn't get it)
    Qty 2 - Additional controllers
    Qty 2 - Tri Format steering wheels.

    When it went through the till, the operator just said to me "is this a bundle deal or something" and I said "I believe it is"

    I also got (from Toysrus online) the following XBOX games:

    Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
    Conflict: Desert Storm Classic
    Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
    Batman Vengance
    Mission Impossible: Operation Surma
    Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

    Turok Evolution
    Max Payne Classic

    for the grand sum (incl delivery of) £113.79

    So for Xbox, two controllers, two steering wheels, 14 games I have paid a total of

    £212.79

    I know some of the games are not the latest, but this still seems fairly good value to me.
