Is it worth replacing the tyre of my kids bike?

in In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving
I brought out my kids 16 inch bike today but the tyres are puctured. Is it worth replacing just the tyres and if yes, where could I possibly go?:confused:

    If the tyres are punctured then they can be repaired, if you do need tyres a bicycle shop will sort it

    greengrocers should stock them if not try a pet shop.

    Just replace/repair the iner tube, no need to replace tyre. Just make sure there is nothing left in the tyre to re-punture the inner tube after the repair. 10 min job.

    Agree with the last poster get some bicycle tyre levers "available from halfords or any cycle shop" take out the old punctured inner tubes take these to one of the above mentioned stores to make sure you get the right ones.Feel around the inside of the tyres and inner rims to make sure there are no sharp objects to puncture the new inner tubes.Then put the new inner tubes in .Pump up the tyres and all is done.

    Wilkinsons do a fare bit of cycle stuff,Tubes and tryes.
    Cheap.

    Mrs LA did this last year for DS's bikes.

    Took her slightly longer than 10 mins but didn't give her any probs.

    If you do repair the puncture then just be careful that the inner tube is well seated by pushing it up inside the tyre, as you you lever the tyre back on the rim sometimes you can pinch the inner tube with the tyre levers and puncture it again, believe me I know from childhood experience.
    If you have a problem fix it, if you can't fix it don't worry because it will happen anyway! :D

    a lot of supermarkets have bike inner tubes,repair kits etc.
