Oh heck! I was really excited to get my Wii Fit today thanks to someones kind wise words about Argos, but I have really messed it up! The sync thing didn't work and now neither of my remotes will work either! Is there anyone who can help please????? I have tried to resync the remotes but it isn't working!
    Ta in advance,

I got a student discount on Wii play with a Wii remote at gamestation so tried to use my discount on the Wii Fit. I was told the Wii fit was not an accessory but hardware so I could not have the discount. Apparently the Wii Remote with the Wii play package is not hardware but an accessory.

    Ta in advance,

    Try synching again.

Note: Make sure you have placed batteries in the Wii Remote.

    1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
    2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up, and press the SYNC button just below the batteries. The Player LED will blink.
    3. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press the SYNC button on the inside of the compartment.
    4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 to 4).

I had trouble as well- however I was trying to synch up the board at the wrong point. You need to start the wii fit disc and only synch the board up when it tells you. It won't synch before then. Hope this helps.
Divorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!

I had the same problem with mine - sync the board and it nocks out the remotes - solved the problem by pressing the sync button on the console and the remotes at same time (i.e. re-sync the remotes) then doing same with the board when prompted.

    All fine and working now.
  • Is this really any good for keeping fit, or would you do just as well with a dvd-not so much fun I accept. Do you think its got enough challenges on it for serious fitness? Thinking of getting a wii and the fit for my birthday, but it would have to be good for the old tummy muscles;)

I think it will motivate more than just a dvd as it is fun aswell. It also tracks your progress (not that I've made any yet).

There seem to be a lot of different activities you can do including muscle toning and aerobics such as step ups.
