Hello everyone
I am looking for ideas about iPods; I don't know much about them but my son would love one for his 17th birthday in a couple of weeks.
I can spend about £120 - do you think the Apple iPod Classic 80GB is worth getting if I spend that bit extra? Many thanks

I would recommend the 80GB classic too:-), the battery life is much improved and I previously had the newish Sony NWA 800 8GB mp4 player but found 8GB wasnt enough after a while.0

I have the 80GB Classic my first iPod after quite a few other types of MP3 Players. I must say I have been very impressed with it, got all my Music & Photos on there and even put a movie or two on there and loads of room left.
Plus it's a nice compact unit with a good screen and battery life. All you need to get for it is a decent set of earphones and a case. I also picked up a Desktop Cradle for convenience so it can sit on my Desk charge up and Synch with my PC,Cheers

I've got the classic too and can recommend them. However, is he likely to be quite active while using it? If so, you may want to consider a nano, they've got flash memory and so are less vulnerable to shock etc.
Cheers

I wouldn't buy the classic because I don't want DRM, iTunes, and I want Rockbox. But hey, to each his own.0
