I obviously made a BIG mistake getting a Soney Ericsson P900 on Orange.
It seems to be the ONE combination of fone and network for which you cannot get an unlock code from other then the network - or does someone out there know different?
The £20 admin fee charged by Orange strickes me as being a restrictive trade practice.

the settings you need are (on the downloaded calc)
choose 1100 as the phone model
chose "Virgin special code" as the Network setting (23400001)
change the box serial from the default (GTCL-001) to the option called "ONE" 32836
code 7 is the one to use !!Ex forum ambassador
