Opening more than one ISA for the Current Tax Year

Hi

I applied for an HSBC-eISA for this tax year, as initially I was not sure if it would go through hence ended up opening an A&L Direct ISA as well.

Both ISA application were successful.
As I bank with HSBC, I prefer HSBC account for convenience, and have gone ahead and deposited some money into this account.

I have not made any payments into the A&L account as I am aware that I can hold only one account. Leaving this account open will it cause any problems?
Do I need to call up A&L and inform that they can close this account or since I have not made any payments will they close it on their own?

Please suggest.

Regards
