Woolworths Friends & Family Event (10-20% off)

Options
Edit: MSE have received permission from Woolworths to share this voucher with its members (see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/discount-voucher-codes for details).

Also, the link for the voucher is on that page. It is an updated version of the voucher which says it has been extended until Sunday 30th November, which is good news for those who can't get to a Woolworths store until the weekend (it was originally due to end this Thursday 27th November)

I just read on HUKD that Woolworths are doing a friends and family event...

Taken from: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/277990/woolworths-friends-family-event-jus/
Instructions: A brilliant opportunity for your friends and family to enjoy the same discount as you when making purchases in any Woolworth store, and that includes ISO orders. That means your friends and family can get the following discounts:

· 10% discount: Music, DVDs, Games hardware & software, Mobiles & Accessories, Electricals, Electronic Instruments, Sat Nav and Rectella Concessions

· 20% discount: Everything else including in-store concessions such as Peacocks and Store 21 when paid via Woolworth tills. Concessions paid for at their own tills are 0% discount (e.g. Julian Graves)

The event will run from Friday 21 November to Thursday 27 November inclusively. Please find attached your 5 vouchers which you can either email or print off for your friends and family.

DOWNLOAD THE PDF WITH VOUCHERS FROM THE LINK.

Additional Link: http://www.!!!!!!/file/165f8f/n/Woolies_FnF_pdf (Select the free download option, you don't need to register to download from FileFactory.)

Some people are posting on this thread advising that some stores are applying the discount automatically, some are giving out the vouchers on the door. However, some are keeping it under wraps and will only apply the discount on presentation of a voucher.
To be on the safe side, I would take a voucher with you just in case.

Also, just saw this on HUKD just now...
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/280990/20-off-code-on-selected-toys-homewa
You can get 20% off selected toys and homeware items when shopping on the website (http://www.woolworths.co.uk) using promotional code: EXTRA20

As some of you probably already know, the website is often not the best for stock levels - but it may be worth checking if you can't get down to your local store this week

Enjoy!

Just got a heads-up that there is another version of the voucher which has been passed around the staff (I believe someone mentioned it on HUKD in the comments).

See first post for the latest download link!

Apparently for those who have already downloaded and printed the vouchers, you can use either version in the event.

    Enjoy!

Will cut out pdf's be accepted? I assume the originals are on a glossy paper, and look /feel different to these (sharper print etc.).

Will be interesting to know if these are being accepted.

I believe the pdf is being sent to Woolies employees by email, so a printed and cut-out version of the voucher will be fine.

The event is on from the 21st November (tomorrow) until the 27th November (next Thursday).

I remember hearing that they did something similar last year - I saw a few people in the stores with what looked like a computer print-out at home (I say that because some were B&W and some were colour :))

From what I could see last year, it didn't make any difference if it was in B&W or colour, so I would say the same will apply this year too :)

Yes, as nellypotts said, you do need a voucher to get the discount though.
I'd just give it to the person on the till before they start scanning any items - that way there is no confusion :)

While this cannot be used with any other vouchers (like what you'd get in a newspaper or something), it will work with other promotions in-store.
So if for example, if there were items which were in a 3-for-2 promotion, you'd get the appropriate discount off the items too.

Sounds like a good deal to me!
