hi everyone
Does anyone have any good recommendations for a 4 * + hotel for Tenerife
We have a 10 month old baby so ideally not too busy or noisy on an evening
any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I know Tenerife quite well and where most Hotels are located, so if you have got a particular one in mind let me know and I should hopefully be able to give you a bit of info on it.
In July last year I stayed at 4* Iberostar Hotel Las Dalias and had a great time would recomend this hotel as got a last minute deal cost £283 each HB excluding transfers but its only about a 20 euro taxi ride and you have the advantage of getting straight to your hotel with out going half way around the island on a coach dropping people off!!!
Anyway I booked with Orchid Travel and got a good deal by shopping round and asking for their best price but to get a good deal like this they will book hotel and flights seperatly so you would have to do like I did and get a Taxi.
I have stayed in a few hotels that are part of the Iberostar group and have found all to be great so worth bearing in mind, also the Hotel Las Dalias is right opposite a shopping Centre that has a really good cheap extremely well stocked supermarket (dont know why I took anything with me!!) and has a childrens pool and the childrens club was excellent to, but this hotel is not on the Beach so not so great if carting loads of stuff to the Beach!, but on the other hand he got no noise in this hotel as out of Hustle and Bustle!
Anyway if I can help any further just let me know

A friend has just come back from the Sheraton La Caleta Resort and Spa.
It was not fully open (March) but he said it was excellent.

I always stay in the Mediterranean Palace (Mare Nostrum) which is 5* (but more like a good 4* really). It's part of a complex of five 5* hotels.
You can book direct with them via email (poss online) for around £300/week/person with swimming pool view (and partial sea view) plus some other extras.
The room I got when ! book direct with the hotel is much better than when I stayed there as part of a package.
Would highly recommend hotel but there are better places to eat dinner.

I can recommend the Tenerife Princess. Although it's in Playa de las Americas, it's on the edge, so it's quite quiet, and it's just 2 mins to the coast where there are bars/shops/restaurants/watersports/trampolines etc. The hotel is 5* and everything about it was excellent. Great food, good entertainment, beautiful pool area.
There are usually good offers on for this hotel too.0 -
Hotel Bitacora (check out https://www.spring-hoteles.com) - just across the road from the Tenerife Princess in the post above.
4* and (my parents who go every winter say) excellent food. We went for a look around the hotel last summer when we were self-catering just outside of the resort. It looked fantastic so we've booked for this August.0 -
With your circumstances, you'd probably get better value with self-catering apartment.
We stayed at Casablanca Apartments in Puerto de la Cruz a couple of years ago, and reckon its the sort of place that might be suitable. However, Puerto is in the "quiet & cloudy" north of the island, and won't suit everyone.I know nothing - really!!0
