Hi all,
Just thought I would tell you about my phonecall recently with T-Mobile.
A few weeks back I got my PAC code from T-Mobile with the half hearted view of moving to 3 after an upgrade offer which was comparable with new customers, but just a bit too high for me right now.
After extensive investigation into 3, I decided its not for me and called T-Mobile to ask them to cancel my PAC code, as I'm staying after all.
With all the rumours of belt tightening until the new year on upgrades at TM, I thought I may as well stick around til then and try again.
They were obviously happy to cancel my PAC code, but the upgrade was now £220 compared to last months £150 (Vario 3).
Heres the good bit. She suggested that the new year will see better promotions, no promises, but likely. In order to tide me over, she gave me a non contract based £10 pm discount for up to 6 months on my current tariff in which time, I can upgrade or get another PAC code.
So, while I wait for a better deal to come along in the new year, I get £10 off per month, keep all my 25% discounts for life etc, and live to negotiate on a better day!
I guess they are attempting to stem the tide of customers leaving until they are able to offer better deals in 2008.
Its little token gestures like this that make me want to stay with TM. Cust. services is superb even in the light of less flexibility in upgrades. Chuffed to bits and probably easy to please.
