We're having problems with our sky + box and as we had paid for a service contract with a company called Satellite Repair Ltd we contacted them last Friday. They couldn't find any record of us having a contract so we dug out the credit card statement from the month we paid it and called them back on Monday with the date and transaction reference, they confirmed that we should have a contract and said they'd contact the engineer for us. On Wednesday we still hadn't heard anything so called them again, they said they'd contact the engineer again.
It's now Friday evening and we've heard nothing. As their phone lines close early on Fridays I've just sent them an email and my husband will be phoning them as soon as their lines open on Monday (at 12 noon) expecting to be given a time and date when the engineer will be calling.
Now as we're paying sky for a service that isn't working correctly (i.e. the recording and playback of the sky +) and for a service contract that isn't being fulfilled do we have any rights with anybody for recompense? Also has anyone else had any dealings with the satellite repair ltd?

Satellite Repair Ltd. have no formal connection with Sky.0

£102 a year for an extended warranty on a Sky box seems a lot of money.
I bought a Panasonic digibox from fleabay for £10 and it works fine.
Or at least it shows exactly the same rubbish as the expensive digiboxes show. Bit of swindle even at 10 quid if you ask me.0 -
The OP does not give her location. Reputable repairers charge around £40 and do not work on a contract basis.
I can recommend 2 in NW England.RIP independent MSE.
