How to transfer files between two laptops on same wireless router??

Right click on the c: drive you want to share, and click sharing, but be aware that if you aren't using WPA encryption on the wireless router, you may end up sharing your files with the neighbours as well..

    Hi,

I have tried setting up a wireless network via the wizard. I was prompted in insert a USB Flashdrive and then insert it into the router and other computers i want in the network. Problem is my Linksys router does not have a USB slot so how do i configure it??

I have tried sharing both drives on each of the laptops but how do i view Drive C on Laptop A from Laptop B??

you will need to setup a network connection. run network setup wizard on comp a and when prompted copy settings to your usb drive then take them to comp b and run them . this should setup the network. dont know what its talking about when it mentions the router

You will then get an icon "My network places" any shared folders or drives will show up in here. You can also use the "map network drives" option and they will show up in My Computer

If both pc's are already connected to the internet, you don't have to setup a wireless network, it is already done.

You need to share your c: drive in explorer, by right clicking on it, and clicking sharing..

To see the other PC, you can either browse the network, or start run \\sharedpcname\c$ on the PC you want to copy files to, or map a drive (explorer, tools, map network drive and choose a drive letter, and enter \\sharedpcname\c$ in the path)

sharedpcname is the name you have chosen for the pc who's c: drive you want to share.
