Powerball

Hi,

I'm a guitarist and have read many reviews about the 'Powerball' and have heard many good things about it, such as it improving wrist strength and such.

I was hoping somebody may be able to help me in finding the cheapest place to get one

Many Thanks ;)

Don't know if these are any good or not but it does give you a write up about them:

I've looked around for these (and bought one from IWOOT); if you're looking for the genuine article, there are three versions:

First off, there's the original powerball - saw this for ~£13 somewhere, but it's been discontinued according to some.
Then there's the one I bought; it has an electronic counter.
Finally, there's the new one with counter and neon light at around £25; it gets brighter as rotation speed increases.

If you go for the one from IWOOT, there are plenty of discount codes on these forums to help with the costs - such as these. Hope that helps.

Well, I bought one from play.com, not bad :)

Anyway, I was at the Big W in Newport (Wales) today they are selling off a lot of gift stock cheap and one of the items was a sports pack which consisted of shower gel and a powerball, down from £8.99 to £2.00

I bought one just to compare, it's not as smooth running as the one from play and doesn't have the digital meter either but works the same

Forgot to add, Big W is a woolworths mega store so a shifty around a normal store may produce results :)

I got one from Ebay for around £16. It is a great piece of kit. I wanted to improve stamina and strength for guitar and badminton. One word of advice would be to steer clear of cheap imitations. The original Powerball is engineered for up to 16000 revs - the cheaper one start to shake and rattle at about 8-9000. Also I reckon that the speedometer is essential for monitoring progress - it can also provide some fun in trying to reach targets and have competions with friends etc.
