In our local evening echo paper there's an offer for Pontins, 4 night 'credit crunch escapes' for £10 per break and you'll also receive 20 pontins pounds upon arrival.

    pontins pounds are pontins currency to be used on the park for food drinks etc. we went to camber sands for a week in july and lasted 2 days.

    You sound like us. We arrived in the afternoon, left early next morning. Didn't like the mushrooms growing in the corner of the room. :eek:

    You know some people make me laugh, £10 for an holiday and people moan, do they not realise people are paying about £350 for the same holiday for the next few weeks, so what if there are mushrooms in the room it just means they have only got to buy bacon and eggs for their breakfast if they pick their ownmushrooms. Well done and thanx for posting this OP for some people this will be their only break of the year. Ive been on a freebie this year to prestatyn and ok it wasnt the cleanest but for gods sake it was free and a welcome change. Please ignore negative remarks and just go for it

    I wont be taking the offer up, but just wanted to say we went to the Hemsby pontins two years ago, thanks to pondie1 who posted a freebie here then. The camp was, well, dont think i can post such a word on the site :rotfl: , and the room, although very spacious, was decrepid, BUT, HEY! we had a great time off camp, exploring the area, and the bedding was clean. After all, its only somewhere to put your head down at night, get yourselves off to the beach, or crabbing, or whatever, take your bucket and spades with you and have a great cheap weekend :D

    I know it sounds desparate but I go to Pontin's Hemsby every year! Yes I know the standards are low but if you get a room with mushrooms growing in it reception is there to help you know! As lomg as you are polite they are very helpful! Gonna try this offer tomorrow!

    Thank you OP. Just booked for 29th September at Hemsby. I know the accomodation is not great but for £10. the holiday is what you make it.
