Best places/sites for Quilt covers/sheets etc And pillows!

Options
Hi everybody,
I'm after some new bedding, and am struggling to find any that we like at a reasonable price.

Will be after 2 double sheets, and 2 king size quilt covers, with pillowcases.

Any good suggestions for shops/and or websites?

Are they all Nylon/cotton??

Pillows:
I'm not a major fan of down pillows, but the current artificial pillows I have offer little support, I have slept in a B&B, and they had these fantastic artificial pillows that were bigger and really firm - any idea what kind these are likely to be, or am I bes to go for a feather jobbie?

Cheers

Best place I've found for all you're looking for is Dunelm, specially when they have a sale on.(if you have one near you that is) If you don't mind cheap sheets QD is a good place for those.

    Thanks all,
we're after an orange/teracotta quilt cover if we can find one, they seem pretty thin on the ground though!

Pastel, light colours & brown seem to be in, just not our thing :-(

We have find 2 likely candidates, one on Habitat I think, and the other in Argos - will carry on hunting, online places surprisingly inadequate me thinks.

    Cheers

TK Maxx is very good for quality bedding at very reasonable prices. Dunelm Mill is also worth a try - brought quite a few pillows recently - they had 2 Slumberland Recoil pillows on offer for £5.99.

La Redoute sells bright duvet covers and they have loads of different size pillows too. Have not bought any so don't know what they are like though.

Larger Asda stores carry a good range of king-size linen. So do Ikea, but their sizing is slightly different as they use Continental measurements. La Redoute sizing is a bit odd I think, too.

TK Maxx is excellent for bedding, good quality. Also Costco if you like all cotton sheets, 200 thread percale, they are gorgeous.

the nicest synthetic filled pillows are the latex foam ones, they are wonderfully comfortable, but they're not cheap! the LX catalogue offers a pair of Dunlopillos in a choice of 3 different firmness ratings for £38.95 HERE

it's a big outlay, but I've saved the cost of mine over & over again ... I was binning even the best quality hollowfibre etc ones with monotonous regularity & it was costing me a fortune always having to buy new ones, only for them to end up flat & hard after a very short time

I doubt a B&B would lay out that kind of cash though, maybe the pillows there were new so were still nice & plump? :)

Thanks for that Swan - which firmness did you opt for, did you just gamble, or is there shops that sell them so you can see how they feel?

Do you happen to know if these Argos ones are the same as the LX ones...?
