Hi, there! I love a thread with pictures and I love gardening and being in my garden. Would you like to share photos of your gardens?
This is the top of the garden, near the house:

We made this trellis last year, and I've started planting into the borders each side of it. I have 2 honeysuckle. Any ideas what else will go up it? I fancy something that will give some screening, and winter foliage and interest.

For ease of viewing the thread, please will you resize your pics to no more than 640 x 480; message board size. Thanks.
Looking forward to nosying in others' gardens  Penny. x

Great idea penpen :T
My PC has suddenly decided that it doesn't like the camera so I'm going to have to use one of the teen trus PCs, then email the pics to myself :rolleyes:Bulletproof0 -
What about a winter jasmine up the trellis?
I am so jealous of the size of your garden. I'll try and photo mine tomorrow0 -
Great idea, I'll take some shots tomorrow!0

About the trellis, you could add clematis, climbing hydrangea, wisteria, roses, passion flower...that's what I can think of right now.0
-
Be careful with wisteria, they're very strong. We have a huge one on the back of the house, it wrapped around the ariel cable and pulled it down
Just as well we have cable tv lol. It's also wrapped around the drainpipe, we'll have to cut a lots of it down before it pulls the pipe and guttering off

I was going to suggest passion flower too! Thick foliage, beautiful flowers in the summer and edible fruits. It grows like weeds though and chucks off loads of runners.
How about grape vines? Or plant fruit trees and train the branches out along the trellis- plums good for this I think and I've just bought a plum and a peach from Aldi for £3.99 each.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Off to find camera0 -
Penelope Penguin could you tell me how you made the trellis? Is it curved? It doesn't appear to have any supporting posts so how does it stay up?0

This is our land. The building in the top left is our shed and the 2 white circles are our water tanks as we live in rural Australia and do not get mains water
Here is a few snaps of our vegetable garden
And some of our crop
I also managed to dig 1 kilo of potatoes up today - Yay!0
