Hi Eveyone.

Its nearly time for me to change my phone so I have been looking around and found this deal. Looks great but I thought I might be missing something. So I mailed them and asked what the catch was.

Hi. Can you please help. I was looking at the deal below. Whats the catch? It looks like to me that the phone is free and if I stay within the call limits it will cost me nothing for a year. Is this the case?

Thanks for your time, David.

Should I believe them as their site is a bit vague?

Not looked at the website, but I guess it will be a cashback deal. You pay the full amount each month, and then claim the money back at specific times during the year. Plenty of people on these boards have them, and there are plenty of threads about them if you look around. Meant to be working so haven't time to direct you towards any threads, but have a look around. Sure some other people might comment too

Its a reasonable deal I suppose, problem is you have to be careful who you get cashback deals with, if the company go bust or are just a bunch of ar*eh*les then you won't get the cashback and they it'll seem a bloody expensive deal.

I would go with someone a bit better known, like e2save (part of Carphone warehouse).

Is a reconditioned phone and will cost you £60 over the 12 months but still a wicked deal and much better then the motorola brick!

Before you confirm the purchase it asks you to confirm that you agree with terms and conditions, yet those terms and conditions are not obvious.

However, finding the terms and conditions does confirm these are cashback deals:

I prefer to deal with a company that has its cashback terms more prominently displayed.

This one is only £48 over 12 months and you get all your cashback after 8 months.
