UPDATE:

CD-WOW have backtracked on this for the latest read this

Permanent CD-Wow Discount Code:

Regulars will know there’s always a hunt to find discount codes from CD-Wow (v. cheap online CD & DVD retailer) to make it cheaper.

This annoys CD-Wow as it messes up its marketing strategy with other sites.  After discussions, it agreed to set up a permanent discount code of 75p off that any MoneySavers can access all the time.

The link is now permanently in the Shopping section of Best Buys, and here.

The link has an affiliate code, so they can measure where the link is coming from, often these go hand in hand with a kick back to the referring site, however in this case just to assure you there is absolutely no payment being made to the site - it's purely to enable users to get a discount.

However do remember - the fact CD-Wow offers this discount doesn't automatically make it the very cheapest.

To double check also use the shopping robots here to find the cheapest prices.  Shopping Best Buys

  • To be honest, I wouldn't have a problem if it did make some money for the site - I know how expensive hosting a website can be, and it has to be paid for somehow!

    Great link nonetheless!

Does anyone know if this link can be used with other vouchers (such as the L'Oreal £2 off or the Capital One vouchers)?

    Thanks
  • Hi.

    We're a greedy bunch aren't we !!

It can be used with other vouchers, but that's kind of defeating the object of the excercise.

I used it with an e-voucher issued to me by CD-WOW, but if we continue to use the other affiliate links, they're going to stop this one - aren't they.

    Just a thought !!

  • Hmm but will people use it when there are £1+ vouchers freely available elsewhere? :-/

I have just finished a short online music census and was offered a £1 discount voucher.

You don't need to do the census.

All you have to do is just follow the link below, fill in your email address, respond to your email by following the link within it, buy your goods, proceed to checkout, insert your "unique"(!) voucher code as supplied in your email from CD WOW. Hey presto - £1 off.

Why have 75p when you can £1 (Don't know how long this is on for).

  • EMcG, what link is the L'Oreal £2 off or the capital one vouchers. The Burton £1.50 link is still the best I've found. https://www.cdwow.com/burton.

In truth this is a balance. I am aware biggest discounts are possible and know they will be discussed in here. However i thought a perpetual easy to find discount would be of good benefit - and i've agreed not to put any 'other discounts' in the email tip because of it.

    I think it's a fair balance.

  • This is quite a good voucher.

CdWow's price are pretty low to start with and say if you badly need a dvd for someone birthday and there happens to not be an offer on at the moment a permenant 75p offer would come in very handy.

If you dont visit this site very often you might miss the larger offers and end up misssing out completly so this one being pinned to the top of the board might be helpful.

I thought that I understood this referral lark - apparently not! Could some explain why this link was removed? I have nothing to gain personally by anyone visiting CD-WOW via the link that I provided. That essentially is what I thought the referrals board was for. Apologies in advance if/when someone explains.

    Ta.
