Hi Guys, the above mentioned website has good deals on nokia n97. Have you got your phones from them and what has been your experience? I have only used e2save but now the good offers have all gone hence this search in this troubled times. thanks in advance

    Well, the early signs aren't too encouraging I'm afraid. I ordered an N97 through Mobile Phones Direct yesterday having been reassured about their reputation due to the fact that they run the Nokia retail outlets.

    The one thing they were efficient about was taking my payment; however, it's been downhill since:

    1) The email confirming dispatch was completely garbled and had no tracking number for the Roayl Mail special delivery.

    2) The phone was meant to arrive by 1pm today; it hasn't and of course I am unable to track where it is.

    3) The MFD Customer Services Line seems to be on permanent answerphone.

    4) My email hasn't been replied to within the four hour timeframe promised.

    5) I've just spoken to a lady on the switchboard at their HQ, who reassuringly told me that the customer services lines are always jammed and that I should perservere! Er, sorry - why exactly should I perservere?!

    So my advice would be - AVOID!
  • thanks for the reply. they do have good offers. I had called today and as you mentioned it went to the answer phone. Keep us posted about your progress or lack of it. they seem to do good deals though.

    Their after sales service is appalling. I ordered a HTC hero 2 months ago which supposedly came with a car kit. It still Hasn't arrived. I've rang dozens of times but no answer, I've wrote a letter of complaint, I've sent emails and got the standard "it will arrived in 2 weeks" reply. It never did. The final straw for me is when I used the instant messenger help facility on their website. I asked for someone to call me about my order and the pr1k at their end teminated the session as he was "unable to tolerate my level of demand". I only asked to speak to someone! My advice stay well away!
