I am still fairly new to OS so apologies if you all already know about these, but about a month ago I bought three microfibre cloths in Home and Bargain for 99p and put them in my cleaning box and forgot about them until today. I got them out and thought I would try them and I was amazed at what I cleaned with just a bit of plain old water!! I used on cloth dry and it cleaned all my windows and mirrors, even getting vaseline that DD2 had plastered all over one big mirror and leaving it squeaky clean. I then got a bowl of cold water and wet one of the cloths and cleaned all my paintwork, painted walls, ledges and kitchen cupboard fronts - I had ato rinse it out a few times but it even got all the grease off of the cooker hood with just water!! AMAZING!!! I then used the last one dry to clean all my brass - didn't even need a bit of brasso or metal cleaner. After I had used them they were filthy but I just put them into a boil wash with my towels and they came out good as new! I have seen these cloths advertised but they are usually alot more than 99p and I thought that these cheapo ones would be rubbish but I am a total convert - I have now cleaned all the banister and spindles, all the phones, bookshelves and the whole of the inside of the conservatory and they are ready for the wash again!! I am totally blown away - usually I use all kinds of chemicals and stuff and these were just a cloth and water (or dry for glass and metal) - I can't recommend them to highly and apologise again if I am already telling you something all you OS regulars already know about! hope you are all having a nice weekend.

I love these too!
One thing though, dont put them in with the towels as they pull the fluff off the towels and this shortens their useful life..... thats what I was told anyway!0 -
They sound great. I wonder if they would be better for me to use to damp dust. My daughter is allergic to the dust mite, and I use the static dusters, but they do advise to damp dust. I have tried with J cloths but they tend to spread the dust.0

Currently you can get 2 for 99p in TescoI have used them for years and I swear by them...no longer buy kitchen cleaners etc as they are not necessary with these cloths.0

Microfibre cloths slightly damp are perfect for CRT and TFT Monitors.0

Ive just started using them as well, excellent in the kitchen and bathroom, im still using up my furniture polish, but will be trying damp dusting once its gone!!!!!0

Microfibres are fab, I have stacks - plain white for my bathroom, blue for my floor and yellow for all other cleaning. Work wonderful with just water and elbow grease. Do not wash them with fabric softener - the softener sticks to the fibres and renders them useless - though they can be washed in vinegar, which 'should' solve it!!!"A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. Microfibre cloths are ace for dusting.
Also, I find them great for stuffing my dd's pocket nappies, exceptionally absorbant!

Mine are used for:
Tiles in kitchen/bathroom-one damp and the other to buff up-amazing!
High Gloss worktops-again one damp the other dry and buff up
Any utilities-microwave/cooker/kettle/toaster/fridge/DW/etc etc
Damp dusting anywhere
Wooden blinds-brilliant
Fireplace in lounge
I use a very hot damp one to clean toilet every day-brilliant
Great for marble
Plasma-one damp one dry and buff up
Loads of others.

I bought three colour coded ones for different uses around the house, then they all got shoved in the same cupboard and I can't remember what each one was for.
I have just bought two micro fibre floorcloths from Tchibo, at £2.99 they weren't cheap but they are absolutely huge.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
