I've spent hours trying to produce this post which shows what my disabled wife and I (oap) have achieved in three years.

a wilderness turned into this:-

and then from this:-

to this:-
http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa96/kingfisher171/IMGP0059.jpg
the nautical section here:-

followed by the seaside haven:-

this area is tubs & shrubs for birds & hedgehogs:-

and when I'm not sitting on the computer, I/we can relax here:- but before that, I see a couple of links failed to produce pics, it may be that you have to clic on them individually.

Blimey - you don't want another project do you?
Actually I don't mean that a) because you deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labours and b) because I intend to get the same satisfaction factor out of doing mine - just got to train the apprentices (2yr old and ten weeks old - the latter may take extra training!).Adventure before Dementia!0 -

I like this one http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa96/kingfisher171/Viewfrombackdoor.jpg as I suspect that it would of been ok to put a new path in and cut the grass and a general tidy up, and you would of had much more wildlife as birds dont nest in swings, fences and pots, thats what I would of done.
But yours is very very nice and lets in a lot of light and is very well presented and all done by a pair of older folk, well done :T0 -
Fourteen uneven slabs were removed as my wife has a walking/mobility problem. The line post I wriggled about untill it I could pull it down. The tree/shrub half way up on the left I cut down and removed the stump and kept it as a small feature. The grassed area is on a slope with a hump in the middle where the apple tree was. This makes mowing an issue as you tend to skid/scrape.
The lilac trees over the fence and the conifer to the left, are haven to several variety of tits, chaffinch. Robins/blackirds/sparrows/collard dove/pidgeon/starlings etc visit all day. The robins bring their young. We had a sparrow hawk also.
Every night we get a couple of hedgehogs, several field mice (we think they are), we've seen toads/frogs, so in all, with the aid of our solar lights and dusk to dawn light, we get 24/7 interest. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I can't see any of the pics
I can only actually see 3 links but they all say page not found on photobucket if I click on them“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
How strange. Of the eight links given, five pics are shown, but link 1, 3 & 4 need opening in a separate window. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Ok no problem, I think it's a problem at my end with Firefox not displaying any pictures. Will try with IE and see if i can see them that way
Edit: ok tried in IE but all I get is a small box with a red cross in it where the pics are and still getting "page not found" on the photobucket page when I click on the links
Do I need to have an account with photobucket to see them?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I am afraid I get exactly the same outcome as chameleon
maybe a clever bod out there can help?0 -
Can't see the pictures either. I'm getting a page not found error.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
Oh goody - I thought it was just me being a silver surfer who can drive a PC about as well as I drive a wonky shopping trolley!
Looking forward to some genius telling me how I can view islandman's pictures.0
