Hey all
I want to buy something to back up all my stuff from my laptop to keep it safe and to free up some space on my ageing laptop.I mainly have millions of photos (which I do have copies of on CD) plus documents like CV, etc but not mainly Word documents. I have some music too.
Can someone please recommend something that will suit me? And that's not too expensive?
TIA

I bought the 1tb version of this for less than a fiver more by shopping around. What's your budget? For a little bit more, here's a 750gb.

yeah, sure...if you go for the external hard-drive...than it's batter..!
but first of all checkout the manufacture and support with the your current one...because there also some issues with the detection...!0 -

Where did you get the 1TB from then max..?. I only posted that one as an example. Not sure if the op shops on-line etc. The £50 argos one isn't bad for someone who want's it now and pays cash.
Would be interested in the 1TB for £5 more myself if you provide a link.:D0 -
I destroyed an external as I forgot to turn it off - lasted about a year. I now have a buffalo and it powers down when the pc is turned off.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

It's a long story. Got a sata drive but had an ide pc, so I got an external adapter, plugged it in the back of the pc and forgot about it.
That was back in the days I didn't know much about computers, now I've just built my own and my external is only pluged in when I do backups.
I learned my lesson anyway.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

thanks guys,
I'll have a look at all the suggested ones.
£50 is around the mark I was looking at. I have a Dell Inspirion 1300 if that's any factor.
