Problems with Direct Save Telecom

Options
I joined Direct Save Telecom over 2 years ago but recently decided to leave as I feel they no longer supply a cheap broadband and phone package service. I liked the idea of not being tied into a contract (slightly misleading as there is a £50 fee to pay if you leave them within the first year (broadband), and £20 fee if you leave them without giving 28 days notice (phone) at any time after that).

Have to say that their sales team are very good though they didn't mention the opt out charges) and I never had any major issues with their service other than their customer services being terrible.

On March 26th I took advantage of TalkTalk's offer via the Carphone Warehouse of an 18 month contract with only the line rental to pay for the first 12 months. After 3 weeks I contacted TalkTalk as I had no start date and was told that my contract had been cancelled by Direct Save Telecom. At no point did DST contact me about this, they simply cancelled on my behalf. When I contacted DST they said that I either had to give them 28 days notice OR pay £19.99 but the choice was never given to me. Because of their actions I missed out on the TalkTalk offer and have had to sign up to a more expensive contract. I complained to them via their website but received no reply.

At a later date I again applied to join TalkTalk but their original offer was now finished so I had to take out a more expensive contract. On the 11th May I contacted DST to ask for a Mac code and was told I would receive this the following day. it has now been over 2 weeks and despite emailing DST and phoning them twice I still have not received a Mac code. On the last 2 occassions that I have phoned them I have been told that the Mac code request is still being processed.
It appears to me that DST are doing everything they can to prevent me from moving to a new service provider by first cancelling my original contract with TalkTalk (which has left me having to pay for a more expensive contract) and now witholding the Mac code. They refuse to answer any emails I send them via their website, despite admitting to receiving them when I speak to them on the phone. I'm beginning to think they're hoping to frustrate me out of moving to another ISP.
Has anyone else had any problems with this company? I have complained to them but they completely ignored it, where should my next port of call be (I have sent details to OFCOM but they do not take individual cases).
