Advise please - tempur mattress

Options
I suffer from a bad back and latley my hubby has too, but only in the morning, so our bed is the likely problem!!!

I fancy a tempur, but they are so expensive!!

Has anybody shopped at mr pillow or memory mattress?? Can anybody advise me whether these type of mattresses are as good as tempur, or whether they aren't as good, perhaps, but far better than a normal bed.

Help!!! I don't want to spend all this money!! unless its worth it!!

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!

Which? magazine did a survey on visco-elastic mattresses earlier this year and the tempur brand came at the bottom. You can usually read back issues at local libraries.

    Hi there,

    Check out this thread HERE

I wrote quite a lengthy response to someone in refernce to the mattress I bought. A year on from buying it, it is still fantastic, albeit I dont know if there are quite as many bargains on the site.

When looking at the ebay link - make sure you click through to the persons shop - and then back into mattresses to find more than that link currently gives you.

    Alternatively - click HERE

Aren't these foam mattresses terribly hot?

I have a memory foam mattress (from memoryfoamwarehouse.co.uk) It was very reasonably priced ( king size, £300) and free next day delivery. The best sleep ever, I can really recommend visco elastic foam wherever you choose to buy it.

I bought one of these about 18 months ago and it's brilliant.

I suffer from Fibromyalgia and it has really helped my muscles and joints and I sleep much better.

It's really light weight too so if you turn it, there's no struggle as with the sprung mattresses.

It's available in all sizes, comes rolled up like a big sausage and once opened and unrolled, it expands fully in a few hours ready to use.

You can also buy it with a new bed, from the same site and save about £50.

Although very comfortable, I have to say that I have found this to be the one disadvantage of this type of mattresses. Obviously everyone is different, but if you (or your partner) suffer from hot flushes I would definitely think twice.

I have had a super kingsize tempur for nearly two years and think it is the best money I have ever spent. They are warmer than a normal bed and took a couple of months to get used too, but cant tell any different now. Think they are amazing......
