A couple of weeks ago I watched Nigella on UK Food. She made an absolutely gorgeous looking chocolate cake. I do not have the book (cant remember which one either) but would love the recipe. Does anyone have it?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I most certainly do
... will go look for it!
Was it the mousse cake or the loaf cake?
Or the choc fudge cake ... which featured in her Nigella Bites series which I think was on again recently....."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Ok no worries, it's most likely this one then ...
Chocolate Fudge cake
400g Plain flour
250g golden caster sugar
100g light muscavado sugar
50g cocoa powder
2tsp baking powder
1tsp bicarb soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
142ml sour cream
1 tbsp vanilla extract
175g unslated butter
125ml corn oil
300ml chilled water
Fudge Icing:
175g 70% dark chocolate
250g unsalted butter
275g icing sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
I'm assuming you don't need the method if you saw the programme? If you do I'll do a brief synopsis of it in a little while as I can't type it out in full due to copyright infringements"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Thats the one.
Just the tin size and temp and time would be great. Which book was it, as I really should invest. If you can PM the method it would be great.
Thanks again.

Oooops yes, would be a good idea to put that LOL!
Oven 180C/gas 4 ... 50-55 minutes ... 2 x 8"/20cm sandwich tins.
Here's the method ...
Mix dry ingredients in large bowl ... whisk eggs, cream, vanilla in another bowl ... in another bowl, beat butter and corn oil together until blended, then beat in water ... add dry ingredients to butter/oil mix and mix together ... add egg mixture and mix together until everything is blended then pour into tins and bake!
Oh, and it's from Nigella Bites, which has some fantastic recipes in, all very fattening comfort food types
Oooops forgot the icing on the next page  ...
Melt chocolate in microwave 2-3 mins ... beat butter till creamy then beat in icing sugar ... add vanilla and chocolate and mix together until glossy and smooth. Use to sandwich cakes together and smother over side and top
I like her addition at the bottom ...
