Reclaiming ppi from black horse

You should be OK as this was taken out after the 14th January, 2005 when ALL sales of insurance became regulated so this would be within the FOS jurisdiction if they do not uphold it. The ones you see on here are maybe the ones that were outside the timescales when they were not regulated by anyone.

Hi Claire and welcome.;)

May I suggest that you contact the FOS anyway and see if they can help, some have had cases resubmitted who were not governed by the FOS prior to Jan 2005, so give it a go, good luck.

Hi Bubbles and Caire

I was successful with my claim against Black Horse, got back nearly £2000, last week. I started my complaint at the end of May, so it took about 4 months from start to finish. I wrote 2 letters and made a couple of phone calls, all recorded, date, time and person, and letters sent by recorded delivery. Told them that if they didn't uphold my complaint, and the FOS didn't take my case on, then I would be going to court. I was firm with them without being abusive. I also rang the FOS and they told me that they were looking at all complaints, so I told BH that too. My loan was taken out in 2004, so I know you can win. Please don't give up and keep posting on here because there is some really helpful people giving support and excellent advice.

Ps, and my monthly payments have been reduced which also helps, however, I have received a letter saying that this arrangement is only temporary, (6 months) so will see how that develops and might be back asking for advice.
