Just plug into line-in on your pc and record, no need to pay a fortune to someone for something you can easily do yourself."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

why not do it yourself, plug the cassette recorder into the line in of a soundcard, record using audacity to .wav files, and then burn the CD, or convert to mp3.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Or you could retro your pc http://www.firebox.com/product/1700?itc=48&src_t=nwt&src_id=137"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I had to do exactly this. I went out and bought a "ghetto blaster" for £20. Bought a 3.5mm jack-jack lead for £2 and connected the G.B. to the audio input on my Mac. Used "Audiocorder" to record the sound. The quality was good enough.0

I found this on the internet a few weeks ago, I have not yet tried but hoping to do so shortly.

on a walkman or portable cassette player it normally does not have a line out socket. am i right in saying you plug into the headphone socket? if yes then what volume setting do you set it at?
plan to use audiocity software. i think i should adjust the volume till i get a good recording level signal on the audiocity screen. am i correct?Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problemsWell at least i learn something on the way

yes, headphone socket.
yes adjust it , but don't have it too loud otherwise you will get clipping, too low, and you get too much hiss.
