Waitrose & Coupons.............

Went to Waitrose today. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago and they said they take coupons and there is 'no maxium amount' to what they will take!
Took the email along just in case and.................................didn't need it.
Went to CS desk first, they were soooooooo friendly and said any till will accept them, but if there was a problem to call for her (she gave me her name) yet assured me there wouldn't be.
She was right! Spent £15 and used all my vouchers, £7 including 2 of the £1 book vouchers from a friend. When I'd passed them all through the girl on the till said.......................'Do you have any more? I can get your shop down to nothing, if you like'
I was really shocked. I know they are more expensive but if they take any amount I'll go again. Not that I get a great deal of them. I do find them now I look out for them though.
As I left the CS girl I spoke to on the way in said 'See you didn't need me. Hope to see you in here again sometime!'.......................................

Thats nice to hear! Unlike grumpy Tescos!
Knew Waitrose took coupons, but I dont go there usually just coz there sooooo exspensive in the first place! (wasnt sure how many coupons they'd take, never heard them offering to get the shopping down to zilch when Ive gone in there lol) Got to admit though, if I had more money, Id definately shop in there more often, always so friendly and polite...unlike Tescos!!!!!
    Thanks for sharing that :)

Were any of your vouchers printables or on-line versions?
i wonder if you printed lots of vouchers, or even the same voucher a few times if they'd still take it?
Might try it out with two matching 30p so i'm not taking advantage but do wonder....

Please dont use the Book vouchers. Its really unfair on the charity. Im sure all the large manufacturers can absorb the cost, but the I think its best the book vouchers are used for the purpose intended.

Well I bought a book in Asda, and offered ONE of the book tokens - and Asda said they don't accept any book tokens.
  • I had just one of those vouchers that I picked up from my local library. I did buy a book from asda but they wouldnt accept the voucher.
In relation to the waitrose and vouchers were any that you used the same as I have a couple off of Daz

No littlejaffa, they were all cut out type vouchers. The only 2 the same were the book ones. I had kept one back for the next shop, but as I handed them over the cashier was just taking them all, so I slipped it in and there wasn't a problem. Some were out of the Daily Mail this week for money off magazines (that I also didn't buy). A couple that didn't scan, the girl typed in manually.
I will go back but can't imagine they will always be as nice................................... they were unbelievable after Tesco...........
