Do you still have to buy the £10 topup?0
-
I got one last time they were selling online for £9.99 with no topup and got £5 via quidco.
Its a very basic phone with really poor battery life but it does the job.0 -
I brought one of these yesterday. Cost 8quid, and the box included an orange sim card, which is loaded with 1quid when you register (you have to register to get your phone number).
There was NO requirement to buy any airtime, so 8quid total for a basic second phone!
Havn't checked to see if it is locked to orange yet.
Colour screen, some ringtones. Not bad as a spare, for festivals/nights out for those who are worried about loosing their contract phone, to keep in the glove box of the car, for kids or just those who need a phone to make calls and occasionally text.0 -
It will be locked, Orange lock every single phone bar none.
There is no free unlock for this phone, so please factor in the cost if you want it for use on another network.0 -
They don't lock their contract phones. I was using my wife's on holiday recently as I'd forgotten to take the charger for my O2 phone.::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::0

Every orange contract handset I have had has been locked to Orange0
-
Of course you could use the £1 credit, then recycle the phone with tesco for £20 worth of vouchers. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0
-
as regards to whether orange "lock" there handsets, 99 % of handsets that are sold directly from orange shops, or the orangeshop website ARE locked to orange, if however you have got your orange contract phone from somewhere like p4u or cpw then they are less likely to be locked
hthCopy from one, it’s plagiarism; copy from two, it’s research.0
