Of course you could use the £1 credit, then recycle the phone with tesco for £20 worth of vouchers.

Could you please explain this - how do you get the £20 worth of vouchers by recycling your phone? Are they Tesco vouchers for use in store?

    thanks

have a look here. you can send them your phone and get up to 500 green clubcard points worth £5, you can however use your £5 clubcard points to buy vouchers worth £20

Just checked... this phone IS locked. Tried my Vodafone contract SIM and it asked me for a code.

The other good thing with this phone is you get 2-4-1 cinema tickets on Wednesdays:

It appears you now get only 300 points, not 500.

You might want to give them a call. All the text still refers to 500 points
  • I'm sure there's a coupon in the News of the World today for a free sim with free text's once you register with them. Perhaps someone with the paper can check it out and feedback. It may be a great combo with this phone offer.

Does anyone know whether any cinemas in the North East participate in Orange Wednesdays - the website is most unforthcoming (even when I left it at "all films"+ "newcastle-upon-tyne".) ?

My local woolies is rubbish, will have a look tomorrow but they never seem to have the cheaper phones in - (chased the £9.99 one a while ago) any one else found this ?

good deal tho, OP, so thanks for tip off !

I used to use my orange phone every week at the odeon (which use to be in The Gate) with no problems, I now use it in the Empire sinema, which is now in The Gate, and have had no problems with this either. So now The Odeon is at the Metrocentre, I would assume you could also use the 2-4-1 there too! Also if you have a student card its even cheaper!!!!
