Specifically over an N95....
I have seen this and am now wavering:o over which toy to get!
Given my budget (got to be less than the £35 I'm on and min 300 mins and some txts) and that I need a phone that will make calls/txt and very importantly sybchronise seamlessly with work and home PCs to kep my diaries in order (my Nokia 6280, for all its woes does that really well now with blue tooth on both PCs). All else is "toy/gadget/fun2 value....
OK N95 has a lovely camera, but I do have 2 digital cameras anyway:o ....My MP3 player has died, so MP3 will be great (but doesn't need to be really fancy as I mostly listen to spoken word things).
Just realised that if I go for the 6120 from 3 as an upgrade I could even have the X series gold and be within budget (as the £20 talk plan would be OK, and they may do something cheaper on upgrade anyway). THat would be a fun toy to have :T . All the internet on my mobile, presumably including google maps etc? (therefore wont need sat nav element of N95..). Slinbox and orb sound like good toys too!
Will it do radio via internet:idea: (or even by some convoluted arrangement via the TV slingbox?) now that would win the deal as "portable" DAB is poor and I love my radio (esp radio 7:o )

Got my dad the 6120 on 3, I have the N73 on 3 with xseries silver. Brilliant phone, runs faster then my N73, alot smaller and the hsdpa should be brilliant when its implemented over the next two months.
Downside is the obvious 2MP camera, yes the N95 is 5mp but it does take a little while to process the photo's once taken. The video on the N95 is blinding! The screen on the 6120 is small but they have seriously increased the resolution, best to see it in action in the 3 stores I reckon.
Xseries side you will love it! especially with hsdpa speeds. I would get the phone myself but the 2mp is not to my liking! I have streamed various radio stations onto my handset, not played them through the headphones so not sure on the quality of the audio, but it rarely breaks up.
Phone can be used as a mp3 easily by adding a 2gb micro sd card... should cost max £15SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250 -
Thanks Z4kir- I think I am decided!! I really don't need the camera on the N95 and I think I am being blinded by the "new gadget" ness of it. Wonder how much 3 will offer me as a retention on this....Off to find out!0

Nice one, your best bet would actually to tell 3 you want to cancel and request your pac code
10 days before the contract ends you should receive a call from retentions offering a very decent deal, my bet would be around the £15-20 mark if you want the 6120SLC: £13000+

Yup! PAC code requested last weekend. THey have previously offered £5/month for 300/150 (just about enough but could do with 400 mins...) SIM only or"any other phone" for £15/month.
Wonder if they will do a reduced rate on the Xseries...???0 -
I'm in the same position - can't decide between N95 and 6120. I requested my PAC a few weeks ago and am hoping for a call from retentions.
I have an N73 and the 6120 seems like a step backward when you compare the 2 on paper. However, when you read people's comments on the 6120 it's a much closer decision.
FYI I was offered a 6120 on either DT1000 or VTT700 for £23/month or £20 Talker for £15/month. (And the £5/month 300 minutes with no handset)0 -
I'm after a Nokia 6120 myself but ATM it seems limited to 3 and direct from T-Mobile.
Does anyone have any inside info on if/when this will be available with T-Mobile or O2 through an online retailer?
