Izzy65....If you had bought the soups in singles x 4 and one lentil and bacon soup you would have taken advantage of the 5 4 3 offer and the glitch would have made them cheaper too...

We actually have a TKMax on the retail park, have to grit teeth and go very early tomorrow for a look see at their knife sets and wooden chop boards and pan sets.
John Lewis website is having a paddy, have to keep trying.

I've actually got Eldest son the Jamie Oliver 5 ingredients book, ordered this afternoon. Eldest child and her OH were visiting them a few weeks ago and she said that because of work etc they are ordering take- aways and pizzas far too often so she suggested this book for them - they both cook so they just need to do simple things and this might be a good reboot.
He wants wooden knife block as they live in a traditional cottage.

Oddly enough Eldest child also wanted a knife block but an all steel one so I've ordered hers - she just sends me loads of pics of the style of thing she wants, very straight forward

Just thinking, have you looked at Tefal Ingenio for a pan set? Looks like a good set, not cheap though.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

I think its the three meats for £10 if such a thing existed.

I got the 5 tins of Heinz tomato soup which are on offer and also on PYO but these are a bit heavy to lug around.

Have a look at shopimum - I got the free Bahlsen wafflettes £1.70 the other day and the honeycomb dips £3 but these have £2 cahsback. Also the melon drink which is free but it must be hard to find as its been on the list for a long time.

so that's about £13 to start with even without the melon drink
newspaper - best ones are £1.60 or £2
    magazine £2
    drinks magazine £2
    coffee £2.15 ??
    bahlsen £1.79
    honeycombs £3
