Hi there. Just popping in to say there's not much change in M today. It's mainly all the important items have ended - the Selection Boxes are now straight full price and no longer on mbuy, the Tetley Tea Bags (240) have gone from £2.37 to £4 and the Hula Hoops and McCoys have now gone from 73p to £1. They do in fact have a crossed out 73p and new price of £1 on the offer label for the McCoys:rotfl:. So, at least they are being honest and giving a full disclosure on that label!

The Tetley Tea Bags (240) did compare vs £2.37 M on the APG. However, I do not know whether that was a receipt checked under last Wednesday's collection or whether it was then on Monday of this week. I had pricing of £2.37 and £5 on Monday. They were £2.37 though and have not gone down from £5 to £4 (that's just msm for you) - they now have a red background £4 label in my stores and no previous price on the SEL, so they aren't claiming a reduction.

I'm also having problems with the Whyte & Mackay Blended Scotch Whisky 1L - I believe that it went onto a £15 offer in M on Monday; however I am still having too many £19 price SELs in stores for my liking. That is just based on my stores though - who knows they may have consistent £15 in APG stores. However, hopefully there are £15 price comps. available vs T and S (and people outside Northern Ireland can flip the comps. over, if they really want to buy this, and see what the M comp is saying).

On the tea, I would now - brand-wise - be getting the Typhoo 300 tea bags at A's straight £2.50 price. That was better than Tetley 240 even with 10% off M, unless you really need some APG back. Typhoo 300 should be N/A against everywhere.

I pick up new items for M all the time of course (which have probably been there all along:o:rotfl:) - so, maybe a little bit more will eventually appear on the final updated list, whenever I get to that, but I think it's one of the least amounts of change for a Wednesday (compared to the Monday before it) that I've had.:)

I'm probably forgetting something important but we'll see later:rotfl:.

Bit dear considering Mr T is giving us £4 for 2kg, plus fillers (6 little fruits, ristorante pizza for another quid off and some barilla). (vouchers aside)
  • Bero Plain Flour 1.25kg is reduced to 20p in my Sainsbobs.

There were some fruit teas for 20p too, but I'm stocked on those for at least a year(!).

Yes. Some people seem to have a wallet full. I guess some outlets are not objecting to splitting transactions into units of £10 and turning a blind eye to people using spouse's credit cards.

Had a rather dim butcher refuse to let me use my wife's cards today, I don't actually blame him for that. He is the only one of nearly 20 outlets who has even noticed.

What I DO blame him for is treating me like a criminal when I explained why I wanted to split the £50 over 5 cards. He told me I could be a criminal. He said I could have stolen the cards. He told me he wouldn't accept an unsigned card (anybody else not bother signing them these days? I can't really see the point.) He even had our driving licences to refer to (ie with photo of me and identical address for my wife) and still acted like he was foiling some major fraud plot. He refused to believe that Amex are offering £5 back when you spend £10.

In the end I walked away, so that was a complete waste of time, I regret not buying the £30 rib joint on my 3 cards now, which he probably (finally) would have done.

Shame, their meat is excellent. 2 more quality butchers up in Launceston later on, though - one played ball last year so I'm hopeful about the bill splitting. I guess restaurants do it all the time.

Note to self ... where there is a choice during application, only have initial and surname on the credit card ;).

Thanks. It's not the Avios I want lol it's the shop offers. Come to think of it I don't even knowif there are any one stop shops round where I live .

Have a look and see what they have near you https://maps.americanexpress.com/ukshopsmall#?cl=51.5073%2C-0.12755000000004202

The Amex map is not immediately easy to use. You edit the 1 Whitehall London to you locality. It will throw up everything close. You then click on those 3 bars near 'select all', choose, say, Shopping, and click Apply.

Nice thinking, she has got a different surname to me, though.
