70 working days or just 70 days?

    It's 100 days, not 70

"If you meet the requirements to qualify for this offer as described above, we will make one Offer Payment of £120 within 100 days
of your HSBC Advance Bank Account being opened."

Mine opened on 29th July (inferred from the earliest time I can view statements back to), and also have not yet received the incentive.

Who has been paid the £120 incentive so far and how soon after account opening? From the T&Cs it said the payment would be made within 70 days of account opening (not switch date). I opened the account on the 10th of July which would make today day 73 so I think I am overdue (if I have read the terms correctly).

Advance acct opening 14 July, switch date 28 July, and £120 incentive paid 10 September.

The switch from my 'donor' Yorkshire Bank account (previously opened for a similar reason) went through on Friday and my second qualifying credit has gone in and out of the account.

Fingers crossed I don't need to wait too long for the wonga now as it's been hard work!
  • I had a current account which i upgraded on the 27th. On the 27th I got my monthly interest and on the 28th i got a few more pence in Interest (as when i switched my interest rate increased). At that point i transferred in the £300, and on the 18th of this month I had my £10, which will last 12 payments, for which i'm happy, especially as my interest rate auto-renews everytime I put money in there, so no need to switch after a year.

Changes afoot to Save Together (email received today):

We hope you're enjoying saving into your HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA with Save Together.

We wanted to let you know about some changes we're making to Save Together and to the Save Together Terms and Conditions.

    Quicker interest payments
From 30 November 2015, you'll be pleased to know that for every single monthly payment of £25 ("a single payment") or more you continue to make into your HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA, we'll make your £10 additional interest payment on the next day, instead of making it between the 11th and 31st of the following month as per the current terms and conditions.

For example if you were to pay £25 or more into your HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA on Monday 7 December 2015, you'll receive your £10 additional interest payment from us on Tuesday 8 December 2015.

Where a payment date doesn't exist (because not all months have the same number of days), you'll receive your £10 additional interest payment from us on the first day of the following month.

Whilst we make this change, if you make an eligible payment*1 into your HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA in October and another one in November 2015, you'll receive your £10 additional interest payment for both of these months from us in November 2015.

    Internal ISA transfers
From 25 November 2015, ISA transfers from another HSBC ISA will no longer qualify as eligible payments*1 for Save Together. If you've already activated Save Together with an HSBC ISA transfer, then you won't be impacted by this change.
    Standing order dates
If you're currently making regular payments of £25 or more into your HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA by a standing order, or if is this is something you choose to do in the future, then we recommend you set these payments up between the 1st and 26th of each calendar month, so you don't miss out on a month's additional interest payment from us, in the event that the date of your standing order falls on the last Saturday or Sunday (non-working days) of the month.

    Withdrawal of Save Together
On 11 December 2015, Save Together will be withdrawn for those customers who haven't made an eligible payment*1 into their HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA. As you've already activated Save Together by making a single monthly payment of £25 or more, we'll continue to make the £10 additional interest payments into your HSBC Loyalty Cash ISA for up to the remainder of your 12 month term which started from the date of your first eligible payment*1, as long as you continue to meet the eligibility criteria.

We'd like to reassure you that the withdrawal of Save Together doesn't affect your right and access to all the other HSBC Advance Bank Account benefits that are available to you.

For more information please refer to the updated Save Together Summary and Save Together Terms and Conditions that are shown in this email below. We recommend you read these carefully and keep this email in a safe place for future reference.
  • They won't.

The September payment will be in October as before .
The October payment will be in November as before.
The November payment will also be in November.

(Whether the November payments will come together is anybody's guess)

finally got my advance account opened after complaining about them closing my initial application in July for no good reason.

£120 current account switch incentive confirmed
£25 new credit card incentive confirmed
£300 in ISA for the £120 save together bonus
£250 going into the 6% regular saver monthly
£50 compensation for being slow and rubbish

    was it worth it?

Nice list! How did you get the £50 compensation? I complained via email because they lost my original online application (so I had to spend another 50 mins on the phone and re-apply) and had to visit the branch for income verification despite the rep telling me I didn't need to vist the branch and they would just be sending an agreement for signing.

Someone called me back but apart from being apologetic didn't really seem interested that there banking application process is totally rubbish! No offer of any compensation to me. :(

    Cheers.

I raised a complaint via their online web form a few weeks ago (they lost my paperwork i returned to them and they closed my application). I received a letter a few days later stating that someone was looking into the issue, and then a phone call last Thursday from someone in their complaints team telling me to reapply in branch and they'll ensure i'll get the £120 switch incentive. I set everything up yesterday and the complaints person called me back to confirm everything was settled, offered me £20 comp for my trouble (never accept the first offer!) and raised it to £50.

    cheers

Cheers Richard! It seems I should have been more demanding. ;) I did manage to get £20 as they insisted that I was only eligible for the new 100 pound offer even though I originally applied on the 31st August.
