I've been with VF for a few years now, I've never had any major problems tbh. Joined them from O2 who weren't competitively priced at all. Had some initial issues when I took up a Friends and Family deal to bring my wife over from O2, where they messed up the deal/billing, but was sorted with compensation.
Only other times I've dealt with CS has been when my contract has been up for renewal - again, have no complaints with those experiences. However, I'm about to move away from VF - this obviously will vary entirely on your specific area, but for me personally the signal/coverage has been noticeably iffy. Started looking around because of that, and the fact that there are better deals out there (I'm looking for SIM only) - and have shortlisted Three and Tesco Mobile (O2). I've been running 2 phones for a few days, current one on VF and another on Three to check coverage in my usual haunts. Again, for my area at least, Three seems much better. VF signal has dropped out altogether in some areas (mainly more rural, but sometimes at home near town centre and other areas where you'd expect to have signal) while Three had signal all the time. Also VF has been falling back to EDGE quite a lot, whereas Three has remained 3G (well, there is no fallback to 2G/EDGE with Three as they don't have a 2G network).
So overall, I'm not running away from VF unhappy, I'm just realising there are better deals that give me better coverage where I need it. Plus, there will be no extra charge to use 4G on Three when it's available.
Hope this helps0 -
I've been with Vodafone for nearly 2 years and I can't wait to switch! My 2g reception is acceptable plus my experience with their customers service has been satisfactory BUT my 3g reception to access the Internet on my mobile is diabolical in my area (Wolverhampton, West Midlands). It is highly frustrating because I mainly use my phone to access the Internet on the go. Ironically, I saw an article today regarding Vodafone 3g signal not meeting their 90% coverage promise following an ofcom report. Visit the techradar website for the article0

I've been with Vodafone for about 8-9 years and was hoping to upgrade before Christmas as I had last upgraded in early December 2011. It is very unlikely that I will be staying with Vodafone any longer than I have to.
I asked at our local store yesterday and was told I can upgrade on 25th December and my contract won't expire until mid-March, as apparently because I upgraded early last time, the extra 3 months or so was added onto my new 24 month contract to turn it into a 27+month contract.
Nobody has ever told me this, it wasn't made clear when I signed, in fact it was stressed that I was signing a 24 month contract which I was happy with. I am now stuck with a rapidly dying Nokia handset for at least another 6 weeks unless I pay the outstanding line rental to get out of the contract. I can't afford to pay this AND pay for another contract and I cannot afford to buy a new handset.0 -

I've just joined Vodafone from EE as I know someone who works for them and he got me a 30% discount on my contract.
I don't like to sign up for lengthy contracts so other than waiting a bit longer and buying my next mobile outright I joined them as they are the only ones who seemingly do 12 month agreements anymore.
One thing I have noticed is the poor data coverage. E and GPRS in a city centre isn't something to be proud of. Even somewhere where I went last week that should've had 4G coverage didn't!It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Maybe their coverage will get better eventually?
